For the past few weeks I've been posting pics of my comic covers and telling people about it. I have a good start of a team to help me but I realize that its gonna take a group full of indiviuals to help in the production of the comic. So in general I need members who will be dedicated to help with the production of the comic and are will to do anything for the project. What we really need is a staff of writer's since I have only me and an artist named kki trying to make ideas up for the comic. We've came up with some good idea's but we need more than just two people doing the work. If you are willing to help out just fill out the format in your post. And verify the times and dates you will be able to work,if you are not able to help at a certain time then we will send someone else to do your job till you return. Post you art and writings in you post format when you finish, if you can not do that just pm me and I try to contact you as soon as possible. Thank you for reading and I hope you will be a good help in the production. If this goes big on the internet or if I send it to a company and they publish it I will give you your proper pay and notice of your work, icon's, characters, and other expensive's.

So basically, you want everyone to do everything for you?

Also, paragraphs are your friend! :)

Are you even INVOLVED in the project? I mean, it looks like every single thing that anyone could do is up for grabs, meaning you wouldn't actually have anything to do with the production.

Simply brilliant! I think we should start up an extra thread about requests for fee work… It never stops :)
- I mean requests that have been sent to us…

jkgoomba89, you would really help your case if you actually tried to sell your idea better. You should've included samples with the post and some idea of what the comic is actually going to be about.

That was a really good read. That guy is really funny.

My favorite part:
Last year, another mutual friend convinced me to see a lady in person to advise her on the new character she'd created. The woman walked in, sat down in my living room and whipped out a Secrecy Agreement that she wanted me to sign, pledging I would not purloin her idea. Guess who didn't get a lot of free advice that day.

I could swear I've seen this exact post over at the buzzComix boards before…

At any rate, if you want to be taken professionally:
A. Provide samples.
B. Don't use bad spelling or punctuation in your subject/posts.

Does that last one make me sound like a jerk? More than likely, but few people lose my attention faster than those who can't be bothered to use proper grammar when talking about professional ventures.

From your spelling, that makes me think you're in middle school.

I doubt anyone would jump on board providing all this stuff for a middle-schooler's project.

No it's not for a ar class, since I don't take art. I've been wanted to make a comic about my character Johnny the Buny for so long then I realized that it takes a few people to make it comic book quality. I got this idea when I saw one of my uncles spiderman comic books one day, and I said to myself that the people at marvel get rich off of doing what they love to do. So I though “hey mabye I should make a comic book for the hell of it.” But then I started to think some people just make comic books for the hell of it and they notice out somewhere then bamm they get rich in a second. I want to do this now since I only have one more year of high school before I go to college.

So basically what you're saying is…

We should all pitch in to help you get rich by taking your ideas and drawing them for you, writing them out, editing them, answering your fan mail, and boosting your publicity, all while not geting paid?

Bite me.

So it's just a ‘get rich quick’ scheme? Cause comic artists make lots and lots of money? And anyone can make money doing it?

Oh boy, somebody is in for a rude awakening…

EDIT: OH SNAP! Lefarce just owned your ass!

No it's not for a art class, since I don't take art. Wrong, they make a LIVING doing what they love/like/are good at doing. Very very very few artists ever become “rich” doing comics. Some can make a living at it. Most can't.

So I though "Hey mabye I should make a comic book for the hell of it." But then I started to think some people just make comic books for the hell of it and they notice out somewhere then bamm they get rich in a second.
This is comedy gold. It happens one in a million times. 1/1,000,000.

In conclusion, go read Watchmen.

In the mean time, if you're serious about your project, post your request here (which is our forum for such things), but remember you have to make your idea apealing or no one will bother!

This topic could almost ue locking, but I think some interesting things have come out of it.
Try not to bash jkgoomba89 though. Be nice.

I'm not trying to bash, but you have to realize comics do NOT make money. They're done out of love for a subject matter or the comics form itself, and unless you're going to offer money, we're not going to draw your character.

But “Johnny the Bunny”? Really?
