Night 3


The Dark Champion entered a deep and wide chamber. The ceiling was gone and a sliver of silver was surrounded by a thousand diamond pinpricks. The scene was beautiful, mesmerizing even, but the black armor-clad figure was not concerned with the sky, but with the spear armed dame that stood in front of her.

“Move aside,” the Dark Champion commanded with an icy edge in her voice.

“Why should I heed the commands of a traitor,” replied the dame now lowering the spear point to point at her opponents heart.

Before the champion could reply, the dame charged her. Barely able to get her spear up, she managed to deflect the blow, but only barely. The point cut her cheek, bloodying her face. He helmet flew into the darkness as the shaft followed the point and added a bruise to her injuries. Before the Dame could react to the face she saw, a sword hilt found her gut. Bending double from the blow, she barely had time to notice that the sword was already pointed at her. Pain seared through her belly as the sword of the champion bit deep.

Rokulily, the Dark Champion, looked into the face of her attacker as her eyes went wide in shock. But only for a moment. Two daggers flew from the dark and flew over the ducking champion. One found the Blood Knight's throat, the other her heart.

From shadows unseen the Rogue and the Fearless Leader congratulated each other on their almost perfect shots.

“Happy hunting, my friend,” said the Rogue.

“To you as well,” the Leader answered.

And so they parted ways to look for their prey.

Roku, suddenly weary, lamented over her sister in arms. She was feeling every hour of this long night, but for her, the night was just beginning. She picked up her spear and her sword.

She would need them soon.

The Rogue slipped past the newly replaced traps and illusions. Neither of these were any cause of fear for he had done this scores, if not hundreds, of times.

The man he sought, however, was as formidable as his traps devious. The Trap Master wielded a long Elven blade as if it were a short sword. The Rogue dodged the quick, powerful blows of the Trap Master.

“HOLD STILL, WILL YE!” roared the enraged giant of a man. His blows coming ever closer to finding their mark. The Rogue's muscles burned as he dove under another blow, but the next one didn't come. Instead, there was the sharp crack of a blade breaking. The rogue chanced a glance back at the Trap Master. Standing over the ruined weapon.

“Damn shoddy workmanship.”

He sighed and reached for the ax on the wall. The one that looked like it had seen much use and much blood. The one that looked as if it had a thousand names in a hundred tongues. The one that looked like the weapon of a god. The Rogue knew he would die if he continued this game of cat and mouse as he dodged blow after blow from the ax. With no other option open, the Rogue dove in, blades leading.

The diminutive Leader of the party of adventurers stalked into the room his prey slept. He almost killed him without waking anyone else, almost.
“Guess you aren't that heroic, huh?” whispered D_Dude as death gripped him.

The other Witch laughed with glee as she went over the incantations of her new, very lethal, spell. She spotted the Beholder in the passageway leading to where her charge was supposed to be. Her wicked laugh rang throughout the caverns and caves as she reduced the all-seeing creature to ash.

“You really should be more careful,” said a chaotically moving figure as he crept from the darkness, “you never know who may be listening.”

“Um, you wouldn't happen to be willing to let a young foolish girl go would you?”

“Oh, but that would make sense, you see,” He replied pulling out a wicked looking knife.

The Rogue was limping along the cavern wall. The final blow from the Trap Master had taken his arm. With no cleric, he was sure that he wouldn't last long.

His pessimism proved right as flaming urns of Orc whiskey sailed through the air and shattered.

1337 was hacking away at Mett's body as Ally waited by one of the entrances for Jninja to come back.

“OOOOOOoooooooOOOOOOooooooOOOO”

“WILL YOU JUST DIE ALREADY!!”

The last Blood Knight, and one of the last two Minions charged Rokulily as the chaotically moving Priest slid between rock and over chasms. Rokulily's defense defeated blow after body numbing blow from all three assailants.

Until her spear was sundered by the minion's massive club. Her armor held and kept the blow from being fatal. The Dark Champion flew back a dozen feet landing on her back. The Blood Knight swung his sword at her head as she rolled away dodging the blow. On her hands and knees, she never saw the second blow from the massive club coming. Armor and bones broke as leather snapped leaving a trail of armor plate from the Minion to Rokulily.

Rokulily gasped for breath as she got up off the ground, sword clutched in one hand, her ribs in another.

That's when the Priest saw his chance.
Rokulily the Dark Champion died with a dagger in her heart

In his haste, however, he did not 'ware the blade.

So, um, well, that was certainly an interesting night… So, does this mean I can hang out with the other people in limbo? Because I would make an excellent ghost, what with my already highly annoying mannerisms and tendency to scream “OOOoooOOOOoooOOOOO” for no apparent reason. I also happen to have some chains to jingle about while people are on the john.

So… whose left?

Well first of all “Crap in a bucket”. There's 2 more adventurers left out of 5.
Chances of the dark lords dudes and dudettes winning are getting slim.

And I feel lucky to have survided this for some reason! =D
