making banners

i wanna make a web banner for my comic, the kind of thing you can put in signatures and stuff, i'm finding some programs that help you do it, but they all have these already made banners with little pictures and stuff on em i dont want. all's i want is a black background, my logo and a picture, how do i do this?

If you own a Windows XP open up MS Paint. Change the size of the new document to the size of the banner. Then floodfill the document all black. Open up another window with MS Paint and open your logo in that one. Then press Ctrl-A to select the whole logo, Ctrl-X to cut it, and go to your first document and press Ctrl-V to paste it. Do the same thing, but with your picture. Then save your banner.

But if you own a Mac, I can't help you, sorry. :P

Put img tags inside a url tag, making the first url tag have a equal sign and the link of the site.
