I don't know if everyone is familiar with the recent “Man Law” tv commercials by Miller Lite. If you aren't you can see the laws here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_Laws
My question, does the general populace find the laws fair and reasonable? Are there woman laws? Do man laws apply to women? Discuss.

I think the “Man Law” commercials are a riot.

As I am not a man, I can not say whether or not they are fair or reasonable. Ethan however, although he finds the commercials entertaining, the intended audience is a “certain” ‘kinda man that has to have celebrities tell him what’s cool. Ethan says he doesn't roll that way, baby…

I am not aware of there being “specific” women laws (Lots of “rules,” which many of the low self-esteem crowd embraces.) I think that the “man laws” could totally apply to women, as I feel many women (like many men, are pussies and they need someone “cooler” than they to tell them when they are being dumbasses.)

(Fun Topic!)

I have seen one of those commercials for about a year. 0_o

I saw the one where they discussed whether or not it was cool to crush a can on your head. I thought it was pretty funny.

The “man laws” that refer to beer should generally be held across the board, regardless of gender.

Of course if a woman is attractive enough she can usually get around anything.

You know its funny. When one of the new spots come out. Me and my friends all follow it.
The “no fruiting beer” act wasn't so popular among my friends, but we learned.
But in a landmark ruleling we amended one of the laws. The “how long after a girl breaks up with your friend can you date her?”. We ruled that you could not date her, hence violating the sacred “battle buddy” pact you make with fellow soldiers. And could only have sex with them once, or more depending on the other men's vote.

I freakin' love this commercial. I like the old old man pullin' the truck. When this ad first came out, I was singin' it all the time, Ethan was excited 'cause I ate Stackers ‘till I could eat ’em no more.

The only thing that could make that ad more awesome is if they played Freebird right in the middle of it.
It's a comic!

Oh, please. Here's the original, more accurate MAN SONG (sung by a puppet):

“To a rational mind, nothing is inexplicable. Only unexplained.”

I'm all for Man Law. It's good old fashioned, beer and football related etiquitte, with some rules regarding women. :D
Favorite ManLaw:

No, fruit is completely off limits in beer. If one was to put fruit in a beer, they might as well put a little umbrella in it and call it a “beera colada”. Man Law: “Don't Fruit the Beer.”

never taint the beer. :( Oh, but I break man Law all the time and clink the bottom of my beer on the top of anothers. if you dont know, try it to somebody, preferably with a foamy, full beer. Also, it helps if you dont like them.

Interesting, what would the first Duck Law be? Probably something about the do's and dont's of plugging your comic.

Oh come on!

I've already had the civil war taken away from me, don't tell me I'm not going to be able to do the ‘10 Commandments of the Duck’ for my comic either.

Anyway, here's what I have so far

1. Thou shalt respect thy fellow author
2. Thou shalt spend more than 5 minutes on a comic
3. Thou shalt update at least once a week

It's a work in progress, since it's not due to appear in the story for another 7 months

Frankly, when the “Man Laws” forbade the use of fruit in a beer, I knew they were full of sh*t.

Honestly, you expect me to have a Blue Moon without a slice of orange? Go back to Russia communists. Besides, the beer they're pitching those ads for is only a small step up from mule piss in my humble opinion. So yeah… Man Laws. Pfft.

I should probably note that the ad offends my egalitarian ethics to some degree as well. :P

Addition: Oh and if you're going to spoof the Ten Commandments for the Duck, why not sync it up better? Like, have the first one be: “I am the one and all present Drunk Duck, you shall put no other inebriated fowl before me.” Two would probably be: “You will never swear by the name of the Drunk Duck” or something. Just a few ideas.

Watch as I just through a loophole.

Commandments = religion
Law = Legal

The two can co-exist together, just like Jews and lawyers.

Maybe there should have noted an exception for wheat beers.

But what about a Corona or Sol? Limes are almost a given.
