I've been reading DD comics for a little while now, and my favorites list is packed and ever-expanding.. this is a fantastic place with many many talented people!

So I thought I'd say hello, and I decided to join the webcomic world. I've been interested in doing a webcomic for a while because it looked like fun… but I've always been insecure about any sort of artistic talent I might have. I've recently discovered that while I'm certainly not on par with pros, I don't give myself enough credit.

Anyway, a little about myself. I'm a computer operator by day, game designer by night. Board games, not computer games. One of the goals of the webcomic venture is to help me sharpen my photoshop and illustrator skillz for the board game design stuffs. I'm not published, but I've got a company looking at one of my games, and I'm developing a couple others with the intention of starting my own company. In my spare time, I run a Warhammer RP game, play WoW, and doodle on post-it notes (at work), which led to my webcomic: Posted. I thought it'd be fun to do a strip all on post-it notes using business supply materials. Turn my lack of talent into my own style.

It's nice to meet you all. This seems like a nice supportive community, and I'm very happy to have joined it and am finally contributing something.

That might actually work really well, if you do it right. You could integrate other supplies into the art itself, like staples or paper clips.

Edit: Forgot to say hi, don't drink the cola or worship she who must be named.
Hey buddy, you should be a Russian Cosmonaut, and here's why.

Holy crud. Creativity out the wazoo, plays pen and paper games and Massively Multiplayer Online games, and decides to make a comic using post-it notes?

Welcome buddy. You've won me over with one post. I'm glad you've sort of stopped feeling insecure about ‘artistic talent’ (really, sometimes, it's all about opinion in the end) and are going to take advantage of your obvious quality- creativity.

Avoid lukewarm beverages and tell me if your board games ever get published!

Welcome!

Neat-o, I love board games and think that designing one must be quite challenging. Hope you get published!

Also, kind of a bizarre idea for a comic, but if it works I say do it! Anyways, it's not much weirder than most of the other stuff on here. Good luck and happy days to you! :)
A Roll of the Dice now with full-size pages!

John Clyde now with ten times the tacky Hawaiian shirts!

What a great idea for a comic!
Also, hello & welcome. Designing board games would be an epic profession.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! I appreciate the support. :)

I've been designing board games all my life, just never seriously.. it's a lot of fun, and a lot of work.. My weakness comes in the graphic design. Right now I'm using a lot of hand-drawn stuff that's little more than boxes and text. Hopefully, Posted will help me strengthen that area so I don't have to pay someone to do graphic design as well as illustration. Of course, when I do get to the visual part of putting the games together, I'm certainly in the right place to find talented artists.
