New Year's Resolutions

It's that time again. According to www.mygoals.com, the most popular resolution for 2006 was “to lose 10 pounds”. The second most popular was “to pay off my debt”.Anyone feel like comitting their resolutions to pixel, so they can look back later and laugh when they've failed miserably (or not, you never know)? I sure do!

Anyone here giving a resolution a second go after giving up last year?

Here's my list of things to accomplish.
1~ No more than 1 coffee a day (yikes, 3rd year for this one)
2~ At least 6 hours of sleep a night
3~ Put those gym passes to good use, instead of just siting in the hot tub and talking with the girls
4~ Quit my job and find a better one (same as last year)
5~ Stick with one hair color for 12 consecutive months

I never make those, but if I did, they'd be:
Gain at least 2 kilos and cycle more.
Go to the beach at least every second day in summer.
Update my webcomic on the same day every week.
Earn more money.
Catch up with friends.

I don't usually make these but now that I finally got some days to rest and stuff, there are a few things I'm hoping to do.

1. Try to arrive at least 5 minutes early for all my classes.
2. Try to draw on a regular basis.
3. Start exercising regularly.

I haven't been very good with New Year's Resolutions though. Generally if I want to do something about something, I just do it instead of waiting. Just a few days ago I decided I want to draw on a regular basis again. So I did.

1. Draw more comics
2. Get out more
3. Find a job

Yeah, 1 and 2 don't really seem to match maybe, but the point is that when I'm inside I'm mostly just pointless surfing around on the internet or sit and watch tv. I could better spend more time at drawing comics while I'm inside being boring, ‘cause I still have too much to work out and it still IS one of my hobbies. The last one has been on my list for YEARS. Secretly ’Finding a girlfriend' is also on my list every year, but it just doesn't happen so I'm not even gonna add it to my list this time (I just keep hoping it will happen).
Also I need to buy more comics/graphic novs, CDs and DVDs but to do that I need to have money and for that I need to have a job so I first have to do no. 3 on my list. There is still a lot I haven't read/watched and listened to.

Here is mine.

Get a job.
Pass 11th grade.
Make the guy you hate with a passion suffer. (Even though he does it to himself.)
Get a DS game for my DS.
Find the cure for cancer. (Not really but that be great if I did.)
Finish my drawn comic. (Yes I draw. But compare to the ones who makes comics here I'm basically an amature.)

And I think that's it so far.

I never do very well with resolutions. I very rarely succeed in them. But I'll give it a shot once again. Here's my resolutions for 2007.

-Start exercising again.
-Go out with friends more often.
-Start a non-manga-styled webcomic.
-Start working on a sexbot that doesn't catch fire when its climaxing.
-Go to more concerts.
-Try to update my current webcomic three times a week.

-stop getting laid with vegetables
-register sexbot patent
-kill someone
-buy a dog :D

I liked that “Don't die” hahahah, very solid
I second that “Go out with friends more often”, I almost ignore them completely this year, pure online communication

The only one I have is a common one - stop procrastinating. It's going to take a lot of concentration to fix because a lot of the time I don't realize I'm doing it. My average response time to online messages is around a month. No more of that -

I am terrible for that. I especially hate when you've taken so long to reply that sometimes it's like “Jeez, this is kind of embarassing. Hey, remember that e-mail you sent me a month ago that's no longer topical? Well, here's my answer.”

Yikes.

Okay now for my resolutions for the new year.

- Get Cuatro and the Zylonian Knights to the next chapter and finally get out of graytones and into color.

- Lose ten pounds

- Get to the gym three times a week.

- Defragment my computer more often than I do

- Try not to be so grumpy when I first get up in the morning. Ughh, tough one without the first cup of coffee.

- Try to have more patience around moronic co workers. *Not the people who work in the photo lab with me, because they're just as intelligently inclined as I am.*

- Work harder to finally be my own boss so that I don't have to work around moronic co workers.

That's all I can think of for now.

I think mine is to “Not care anymore about anything.”
I've been trying to do that since 1997… or at least not worrying for things that I hate
