Food and sport are generally not the reasons we encourage hunting

But it's fun.

OK P.E.T.A, take me away!

This reminds me of a news article I saw on Yahoo.

A fishing boat off the coast of Maine, USA pulled in a 35 foot long Squid. It weighed almost 1000 pounds.

That just pisses me off. Those kinda squid, are the EXACT KIND of squid, I need to get my Battle Squid project off the ground. AND THEY'RE EATING THEM! THEY'RE EATING MY GLORY!
I'm Jon. You can call me Dr. Jon… but I prefer Jon since I'm not really a Doctor.

Wow, Isukun is so knowledgeable about various esoteric stuff. I thought you're only knowledgeable about anime/manga/computers. What else do you know?

Anyways, that's a real monster hog. It's not the first big ‘un that hunters have bagged. Boars breeding with livestock pigs seems to encourage these kinds of giants. Prolly because livestock pigs have “big pig” genes in them.

However, they don’t seem as dangerous as real wild boars. A pig that size, with the temperament of a real boar, would've turned around and tore that kid to pieces. This one kept running away until it died.

The pig is real. What I call BS is this kid supposedly handling a .500 calibur handgun. These guns are 14 inches long and bigger than the Magnum and the Desert Eagle. A normal-sized 11 y/o shooting 8 rounds from it to bag a pig? No friggin' way. He must have had a shoulder holster attached to it, and damn lucky the pig didn't turn around and gore him during his chase.

Look at this site I found, it's made by the kid's dad. Turns out he got a part in Hogzilla.

-in this case the hunters had less justification for killing the animal, they did so purely for “sport”, the creature was no danger to them (from the report of the hunt) as a feral pig might be to a boy.

That poor little boy hunted the pig down for 3 hours and shot it 16 times. There were also plenty of adults around with high powered rifles trained on the pig so that kid could have his fun with it. It was not a case of self defense.

Yep, something to be proud of, truly.

PS The cat isn't real. That photo's been around for years and its a fake. :)

Well we weren't to know that initially. :)

Yep, that's just shameful. Turns out what they “hunted” was a former pet, then a farm animal. How pathetic. That child and his entire family should be ashamed. They probably go out taking pot-shots at cows and family dogs for fun. F***ing losers.

One wonders when we'll start seeing more pics on the net of fat kids leaning over the bodies of ever fatter dead farm livestock that they've shot to death. How moronic.
