How old was he? His speech, body-language, and mannerisms were that of an 8 year old. Less “surfer-dude” and more “behavioural development problems”.

Maybe one of the waves dumped him on his head a little too firmly?

I have a 1 1/2 year old nephew who I can understand better and he doesn't even really speak English yet.

I'm guessing he must have skim boarded into the jungle gym at some point there.

He can't be real, can he? What did he even say?
Hey buddy, you should be a Russian Cosmonaut, and here's why.

He's talking about how good the waves are for surfing Custard. Barrels means waves that are cresting and drop in is when you ride into them to surf in. I'm not sure what the whoo pah means though. Probably a part of the board.

That's my best guess at least. Heck, I grew up in the Midwest, about as far as you can get from surfing.

The “whoo pah” part is probably when the wave slams over him.

Dear god! Does that mean I speak surf?
Those were my two cents.
