Go to this thread, check out my post (the second one down) and follow the instructions I've written on colouring.

I've got a tutorial about layer. I think this would help.

First I wuld make a new layer for the colour. Under layer styles change it from Normal to Multiply. This means that the orivinal black line will show through. Then instead of using the magic want to select use the polygonal lasso. Start at one corner of the section you want to select and trace around it, clicking to make points. I know this takes much longer, but it give a better result. Hope that makes enough sense.

What I do is, after inking, create a duplicate of the ink layer, and use the Sharpen filter tool once on it. Now that the lines of the duplicate are thinned, I take the bucket tool and click where I want the color. If I need to shade, I create a new layer between the ink and color layers. No need to mess around with magic wands or lassos.

I never understood why people use the magic wand or the lasso to color. Even before I started to use the aforementioned method, I simply created a layer under the ink and colored with the brush. It's not difficult to color inside the lines, and it's certainly not difficult to erase.
It's a comic!
