question 2 - where to have your webcomic

Another quick question for all you experts. Where is the best place to have your webcomic? Drunk Duck is awesome, but would it be better to also host your comic under its own domain with its own host? Or what about the competition like webcomicsnation or comicsgenesis or whatnot.

Thanks again.

Well, you can host your comic wherever you want.

Some people prefer just to have it on one domain (Drunkduck, their own domain, etc etc)

or

Some people just like to put it everywhere they can. deviantArt, Drunkduck, Smackjeeves, Comic Genesis, and Comicspace, to name a few.

It really doesn't matter to you, if you want more exposure, I heartily recommend posting it several places. I know it'll get to be a hassle. But think of it like this, you'll get more views.

Unless of course, you'd rather focus more on having it one place, and get ads on your page for Project Wonderful. If you get a lot of views to begin with, you could put a few ad boxes up there, and make some money (not very much), but you could use that money to put your ads up on other webcomics, thus getting you even more views.

Hope that helps!

it does help, thanks.
What about maybe putting it everywhere you can and then trying to tie them all back to the ‘main’ site. like have the others a few pages behind the main site? Could be a way to get them over eh?

Yeah, you could also do that! Have like, exclusive content.

Which is also what some webcomic artists do when they decide to release a book. They put extra stuff in there to get you to buy it.
