I draw on normal printer paper leaning on a book about dinosaurs using a propelant pencil and then ink using a ballpoint pen… Then scan in at a high res and shrink after colouring… that happens over 3 days normally since I'm fairly new to colouring…

I use a Canson sketchbook (9x12) to do the panels and it roughly takes 4-7 hours depending on page complexity and for the shear fact that the final product is about 75% the original size of the drawing (eg. I draw it large).

I then scan it in at 600dpi (HUGE) and negotiate with Photoshop for 1-2 hours and hope that PS is in a loving mood.

Each page roughly takes 5-9hrs depending on the sheer length of it (as I use an infinite canvas vertically).

Yeesh… kinda puts stuff into perspective. O.o

i use bristol board if i want smooth smooth blending
vellum for more texture
watercolor paper if it's going to be mostly water colored

i use different pencils from h to 8b
watercolor empty areas (transparent and opaque)
blending stumps

scan it to computer, finish coloring and touch ups.

i've found it's faster to do it in real life first, with the style i have in my mind.
i try to stay away from too perfect CG polished look.

i like to add textures to give it more life and variety

this is my first attempt at using photoshop to actually paint something. it's not too bad. i need to alter the angle of the stonehenge rocks because they make the island look slanted too much and i think i need to use a higher dpi. what do you guys think?

yup. i should have cropped it but it was more of an exercise to make sure i didn't toally suck. i was using the airbrush tool mostly. i'll poke around with the different brushes and see what i can do with them.
