Great… I went to bed… fell asleep pretty fast, then woke up three hours later to pee… aaaaaand I've been awake ever since. Ugh.
—-
I wish ka-blam was as fast with adding stuff to indyplanet as they were with assembling the book. But then again I also requested the sketchbooks to be added to comicsmonkey, and I think that's more time consuming for them. Could be that's why it's taking few days now (and might take few more).
—-
The script I wrote on the 1st? It's still not drawn (still grabbing more visual reference).

Got plenty of that already, thank you.

I'm more in need of archers, capes, hoods and medieval/fantasy stuff, not nudity.

i hate this whole “no spending money” trip i'm on. i have over a month to go, and i'm bored out of my mind. on top of that, in 2 weeks, i haven't saved much more than normal. granted, i had the unexpected luxury of buying a new key for my car. but still….

awesomesauce….i get motivated to work on my comic, and sit down and then the wife proclaims i'm not spending enough time with her, when she's been playing her video game since noon.

My roommate's been driving me up the f*cking wall lately. He's been sick in some form for three weeks now. First, a flu. Then, a cold. And now from the cold, he's so hyper congested (for a week now), he's been making loud horking sounds, literally every 20-30 seconds. Geez, go to a doctor already! So sick of hearing him try to cough up. Combine this with the fact he never leaves his computer seat in the living room, let alone the house and I'm stuck with an annoying loud sick shut in.

“You tell yourself to just
enjoy the process,” he added. “That whether you succeed or fail, win or
lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle.”

After reading the Calvin and Hobbes comics and remembering that the guy who made the comic strips never wanted his work to be “commercialized”, I have to agree. Turning the strip into animation, movies, or even putting them on merchandise would probably ruin the spirit of thing and would be pretty hard to do anyway. So I'll simply enjoy the strips as they are… the 4 panel pieces of art and philosophy we see in newspapers each days. :)

I'm finally back! My computer crashed around the end of November last year. I was on a loaner from my mom which is really a pain to browse the internet and this site in general. Fortunately, my dad bought a warranty for my old laptop four years ago, so I got a new one in the mail. I went from a 60 GB hard drive that was on my original laptop. It was also good for media. Now I got a 500 GB hard drive, surround sound, and a LCD HD screen. All in all, the warranty was worth it.

I might still be on and off trying to load all my stuff back again, but I will be getting back to my comics soon…I hope…

So it's a thread both on moaning and yay-ing? Sounds good.

Moan: stupid family, and the fact that I still have to live with them. Grumble grumble bitch bitch.

Moan 2: oh, and last night my mum told me of the prospects of a job opening up in my small town, so that I ‘wouldn’t have to move to the big city, now, isn't that greaaaatttt.' Ugh.

But, yay: um, well, I'm having mashed taters tonight, so yay? Oh, and actual ice cream for dessert. Yum.

feedback is always good.
But I wouldn't get too strung out about it.
It's nice to be poop-ular from time to time….but the real joy comes from the creative process.
Feedback or no…as long as you enjoy creating for yourself….and you have a genuine enthusiasm for what your doing….it'll attract people.
Just give it time.

One problem after another…my internet air card stopped working completely. I still have dail-up to post, but those things are around 70$ to buy and i have to pay 200$+ to cancel verizons shitty contract.

On the bright side i have two comic plots that i think are doable. I might be able to finish my 2010 goal early :)

I'm surprised how much serious gay content dragon age has. I really love bioware for that, just unblinkingly mentioning it and not treating it like a joke like lots of other medias do… I think it's great when games can convince you those are real characters, and not some empty mesh shell that wields a gun for you.

Well. First I found out that Windows 7 and CS2 are incompatible. That is going to drive me nuts because I can't get things back to the way they used to be.

If I were desperate I could probably put CS2 on my fiance's computer, but his is on its way out too.

My leisure disruption is not the worst of it.

I'm an undergraduate student taking graduate level classes. I have already signed up for all of my classes but one because my teacher told me to hold off and promised information before school ended in December.

Needless to say, he never gave out more information. I got a letter from the secretary of my school telling me to sign up for that class.

I lost the paper that had information about all my classes during the holidays, so I had to sheepishly ask for it again.

I finally have the name of the class that I'm supposed to register for, but it is blocking me saying that I'm not allowed to take graduate level courses. (Even though I'm already in 6 for the year.)

So yeah. I'm in constant email correspondence with the secretary now.

All and all…computers suck.

I just finished my last portfolio piece! Still have to do a write-up for it and then organize my portfolio and stuff, but the real work is done now, at least for Art class. Still have to do my “individual oral presentation” on Friday, and finish up my exam project for Digital Multimedia.
