I like Facebook better than MySpace, personally. It's a lot more controlled and less crowded with media crap like music & videos.

i hate how most people cant design a bandwidth friendly myspace page. my myspace page actually scrolls without much hitch and i have no annoying music player that blasts music automatically over my winamp player.

That's because too many people don't know how to actually make a decent layout. They just copy some crappy coding, add their things making the coding even worse, and then dance around all stupid with crappy music, fifteen auto play videos, and every single users as a “friend”.

Facebook just looks to plain and uncontrollable for me to use it.

Myspace is the web returning to its mid 90's stage with the shocking web design and the horrible person centred homepages, with the social aspect added on.

Facebook is the slightly more mature version, with a plainer style and all the web design pre-done, the social aspect being primary. But it's a mediated, manufactured, artificial, impersonal sort of social experience in a way… like “getting to know you” games at some kind of work “team building” outing.

-Good way to catch up with friends though ^_^
Infact, I've just come back with having dinner and drinks with some friends, organised through facebook, and what a lovey bunch of ladies they are :)

Pretty sad that I haven't kept up with them enough, but heh, whatchagonnado? :P
