Not only did Rumsfeld call for an adjustment to be made in Iraq days before he resigned, he also said, quote, “Announce that whatever new approach the U.S. decides on, the U.S. is doing so on a trial basis,” he wrote. “This will give us the ability to readjust and move to another course, if necessary, and therefore not ‘lose.’ ”

So even the previous Secretary of Defense thinks the war is a no win situation. This can't be good.

I really don't like politics.

Also, we should stay the corse in Iraq. I mean, c'mon. Britney Spears told us to stick behind our president. Clearly she's in her right mind. SO VOTE BRITNEY ON THE BALLOT IN 08', OR DIE!!!

The US is probably better pulling well out of Iraq for good. It's been a complete and total failure from begining to end. And face it, they're not really helping things now are they? Iraq would do better with some kind of Arab coalition… But the trouble is they're all a squabling bunch of dissagrealbe buggers and places like Saudi and the UAE care more about themselves than anyone else.
You'd have to rely on places like Egypt, Iran, Syria, Algeria, Tunisia, Lybia… But The US hates most of them. :(

His memo reminds me of the sort of things Goebbels and Goering came up with towards the end of WW2… Come to think of it, Rumsfeld even looks like a combination of those too nasty fellows! O.o
