crazy jackie
it's too bad he's getting older. he can't do the stuff he used to do. latley i've been buying DVD's of jackie's old movies. the classic ones he did in china are always better than the american films he does. the american films are always watered down

btw i hate this trailer…you only see the real movie clips halfway

I never really liked mismatched cop movies. And I never really liked Chris Tucker after seeing Fifth Element.

I dunno about the Jackie Chan getting old stuff. Shanghai Knights had some stuff that I would say is of equal quality to something older like The Black Dragon.

I just bought his newest on import from Hong Kong: Rob B Hood. It's basically Jackie Chan does Three Men and a Baby (which was actually alot better than it sounds.) His kungfu is still great and he has a couple of crazy stunts (one where he climbs down a biulding by jumping from one air conditioning unit to another, and another where hes on a rollercoaster track and whenever the car comes by he has to dive under the track and hang onto the underside so he doesn't get hit and/or fall to his death.)

I'm not trying to deny the fact that he's in his mid fifties. Or that he probably couldn't pull off the “grueling training scenes” in Fearless Hyena and Drunken Master, but I dont think the quality of his kung fu or stunt work is deteriorating at all.

Just most of what american audiences are aware of are his american movies, which are typically toned down on both, because he's trying to stress his “comedian” standing in america more than his “martial artist” standing.

Rush Hour 2 was the worst Jackie Chan movie since maybe ever. ugh

I can't believe they're crapping out another one of these.

The first one was ok, but the second one was just aweful.

I'm also doing that other comic "Space Waffles".
We now have a podcast called The Random Pirate Comics Show!

I love Jackie Chan. I'm willing to put up with Chris Tucker for Jackie. ;-)

I think it's an excellent choice for both of them. (As so many of you pointed out–they are gettin' older. Damn age, it will eventually win!) So, roles may not come like they used to…It's a guaranteed paycheck. They have good chemistry, as long as the story is halfway (most of the movies these two have been in are at least halfway) decent, it will be entertaining. It ain't gonna' win a little gold statue, but I think it will be worth renting.
