Well.. I've decided to show you guys the first two chapters of my story.

The grammar should be Ok, perhaps a mistake or two. But.. there could be other problems with it, and I'm open to critism.

Feel free to take your time with this.

And if it'll help to get more views, I'm kitty17's like, best friend ever.

Stolen Goods

A large City sits in the middle of a Wasteland. Roughly twenty-five square miles and in the shape of an almost perfect circle. Though it's not noticeable from afar, an almost clear barrier surrounds it, obviously protecting it from the random Sandstorms.
There are several metal contains outside of the city deep into the ground, but not deep enough to not see it completely. It sticks out from the ground several inches. It's filled with water or other supplies. Near them are plain lakes, for creatures outside of the City to drink from.
Several bridges extend from the City, also protected by barriers. The bridges connect to farther away Cities.
The barriers, and metal containers, can open and close at the wish of the rulers of the City, usually only when it rains.

There are many gates around the City, they can open and close at the command of a device that most civilians of the City have. Roughly, there are fifty gates around the entire City.
They do get closed down occasionally, usually only when there is a Sandstorm, or some other crisis outside of the City.

It is the year 2673, the Sandstorm happened the year 2560. The people of the World were quickly forced to adapt.
Much of the advanced technology had been lost. The Storm destroyed much of the 'Main Computers' of the world. The Main Computers held together much data, connecting together Internet, files, and much of the most advanced research in the world.
It was all destroyed. Included almost all of the most brilliant minds of the time. Leaving the World in a horrible state.

Things have improved, and technology has improved. It is roughly at the stage of mid 21st century. Which is better then nothing. But it's improving rapidly.
Some pieces of the equipment from late 25th century are still in good shape. But no one knows how to use it, it's many years ahead of the current level of technology. So, they are kept in special storages. Always guarded, until someone can figure out how to use them. Or.. they could always try.

Clouds of Sand flew from the back of the Motorcycle as it sped through a large twelve-foot steel gate, picking up speeds of near one fifty.
On the Motorcycle itself, were two figures, both whitish-tan. One a Male, with a black helmet over his face along with green baggy jeans and a black jacket.
Behind him was clearly a Female, with simple white goggles over her eyes, and long blonde hair which was tied up behind her head, and some type of large bottle on her waist. And most noticeable of all, was the fact she wasn't on the Motorcycle correctly. She sitting in a way so her back was against the boy's back.
The Motorcycle looked a bit high-tech, as if rockets could pop out at any moment.
On the side of the Vehicle, was a metal box, possibly holding something important..

After several moments of riding, more Motorcycles appeared, with the standard Police colors, white, blue, and red. Though no siren could be heard, but gunshots were heard perfectly.
There were two Policemen on each Motorcycle, the one on the back with a Rifle of some sort, aiming for the tires of the speeding Motorcycle ahead.

The Motorcycle, rather than just moving straight, moved from left to right, hoping to avoid the bullets of the Rifles, "How about you freaking watch it!" The Girl turned her head towards the Boy in front of her who made no comment, "I'm going to fall off if you keep doing that!"

The Boy clutched the handles tighter, while moving the Motorcycle with more force, "Well I wouldn't be doing this if you hadn't tripped the fucking alarm!" The Boy's tone was louder and stricter than the Girl's.

"It's not my fault! You didn't even tell me where the wires were!" A bullet flew nearly inches away from the Girl's hand, who didn't seem to notice.

"I was going to, be you were so headstrong that you went for the Generator without even thinking there was going to be some trap!" The Boy turned the Cycle again, taking an extremely hard right, sending massive sand clouds through the air.

An ear piercing screech erupted through the air, as the sound of an amplified man spoke, "Please pull over, make this easier on yourselves before we're needed to use extreme force!" His speech seemed to have gone to waste, for the Boy and Girl were to busy arguing to notice.

"It's no use. Forget piercing the tires. Fire at will boys!" The Policeman shouted, commanding his men to perhaps kill the two Thieves to get back whatever they stole.

The Girl sighed, turning her head back to the Policemen, quickly realizing they weren't aiming for the tires anymore. With a quick flick of the wrist, water sped out of the container on her waist, quickly forming a large ice shield in front of her, as two out of the many bullets smashed into it, knocking them off course, "They're not very good at ranged weapons." She commented, watching them get ready to shoot again.

A large rumble occurred underneath the sand, as a massive tanish worm, nearly twenty-two feet in length, and five feet in width, erupted through the sand, crashing near the Policemen, causing one of the Motorcycles to lose balance and crash into the sand, "Alex!" The Girl shouted, quickly shaking his shoulder.

"I know, I saw it. I wasn't expecting any Tunnelers to be so close to the City." The Boy said in a hushed tone, quickly clicking a switch on the Motorcycle's handles, "Hold on Yuki, I'm putting on the Boosters!" His voice was very loud, trying to make sure he was heard of the hard clanking coming from inside of the Motorcycle.

Several metal objects grew out from the back of the Motorcycle, quickly shooting out orange and blue flames, "Shit!" The Girl shouted, putting her hands in an awkward position, as she grabbed the Boy's stomach, while they were still facing opposite direction.

The Police Motorcycles had already stopped after the Tunneler showed itself; they were already on their way back to City. While the two Thieves escaped on their Motorcycle, which was reaching speeds of two-twenty, and growing.

"Why didn't you use this before!" The Girl shouted, still clinging onto the Boy for dear life.

"Do you know how much fuel this wastes? I only use this as a last resort!" He shouted, sounding as if he was in a bit of pain.

After barely four seconds, the Tunneler from before rose up from the ground, several meters away from the two Thieves, "It's right behind us Alex!" Her voice full of fear, not wanting to be crushed under the massive weight of the overgrown worm.

"We're only half a mile away from the Garage! We'll make it!" His attempt to comfort her had failed, for now her grip only became tightly.

A large purplish barrier could be seen, nearly one third of a mile around. It was possible to see through the barrier, but all that could be seen was sand.
After several more moments the Tunneler reappeared, it was directly over the Motorcycle now, ready to crash into it, "Alex, Alex, Alex!!!" The Girl's voice was frantic, and a scream erupted from her throat as the Motorcycle sped through the barrier as if it wasn't even there, and the Tunneler hit the barrier, quickly falling into the sand, as if it had hit a solid steel wall.

Though nothing seemed to be there before, a two story house seemed to appear out of nowhere as the Motorcycle went through the barrier.
A large screeching sound was heard, as the boy seemed to be hitting the breaks, and the Booster's shut off, sliding back into the Motorcycle, which crashed into a garage next to the house, nearly tipping over as it came to a halt.

The Girl on the back quickly let go of the Boy's stomach and got off the Motorcycle, throwing her goggles to the ground, revealing her blue eyes, and her height, which was roughly 5'2", "You're frickin' insane!" She shouted at the Boy, who took his helmet off, revealing brown eyes and short black hair.

"Calm down Yuki. We made it, besides, that was the perfect way to see if my new Booster's worked." He chuckled as got off the Motorcycle, showing his height, which was 5'7", he calmly placed the Helmet on a wooden bench.
He took a look at the large hole in the wall, and several large pieces of machinery tipped over, "Think Mia will be mad?" Alex asked Yuki.

Before she had a chance to spoke, a door opened on the side of the Garage, which seemed to lead to the house, and a Girl walked down the stairs, "Only if you didn't get the Engine." She was a tanish-white, 5'4", had medium brown hair and bright green eyes.

Almost relieved, he opened the metal box, and pulled out a red and black Engine, which looked incredibly futuristic, "Good work. Now clean up here while I see if I can get this to work." Mia ordered, and she walked over to a door, she opened it and walked down the stairs.

Alex looked back at the mess they had made and sighed, "I hope we didn't break anything besides the wall. Or she will be pissed." He walked over to the hole in the wall and looked at it, "This can wait till tomorrow." Turning away from it, he walked towards some of the objects that he had flipped over and put them in their correct positions.

"So, what exactly does she plan on using the Engine for?" Yuki looked over at Alex, who never bothered to move his gaze towards her and simply shrugged.

"Better off we wait until later to go down into the basement. You know how Mya gets when we interrupt her." He finished flipping over the last object, looking at them, making sure no harm came to them.

Yuki sat in silence for a few moments before opening her mouth, not sure what else to say, "True..".

The Chip

The Sandstorm caused many unnatural things to occur. Several of the continents moved out of place, split in half. And more land appeared, around the size of Alaska in total. And because much of the water has disappeared, the water and land percentage are equal.
Because of the new problems that arose, new Countries were created, being referred to as 'Nations'. Each one is in control of different land, and of course, that alone would create wars over land.

One Nation, Kasai, is currently trying to overtake all of the other Nations. Trying to convince everyone that they were truly better than everyone else, and everyone would be better off simply joining them.
But Kasai already had the most land, the best army, and the best technology. Putting the rest of the Nations at a disadvantage.

Another major problem arose from the Sandstorm. No reasoning could ever explain why. People began gaining powers, super strength, agility, and the ability to control fire. And they were given the name 'Proxy'. Only a few people obtained 'powers', but those who were, were usually captured by Kasai. Wanting to add them to their army for power.

One of Kasai's biggest threats is Taki. It is one of the largest Nations and has much of the 25th century technology in their hands. One of the major holding places for it is Suna . It has much protection around it, and the pathways to other Cities; the barrier surrounding them not only protects them from sand, but enemy attacks. The barriers are very strong, and haven't been broken yet.

Alex sighed, finishing up plastering over the broken wall, getting up off his knees and looking at his work, "Good enough." he stated, walking away from the wall and towards a door to the basement.

He gripped the handle and pulled on it, the door giving an annoying creak as it opened.
The flight of stairs was long, seeming as if he had walked through the first basement and into a second one, "You still down here?".

Several tables and Computers could be seen through out the basement, which was almost as large as the house, "I'm over here." Mia called out, in an unemotional tone.

Walking over, Alex gazed at the Engine, which seemed to have been delicately pulled apart, "Any luck with figuring out what makes it go?".

Mia shrugged, "No luck so far. I don't know if I can even build anything that attaches to this stupid thing." She sighed, dropping the tool she held in her hand and played with what looked like a computer chip that seemed to have come from the Engine.

"So. Where's Yuki?" Alex asked, after several moments of complete silence.

Mia placed down the chip, looking over at him, "She went back into the City.".

"What?" Alex's tone quickly changed, becoming more infuriated, "It's only been a day since we stole the Engine! What was she thinking!? The Police are gonna find her and take her in!".

"Calm down Alex." Mia said, keeping her tone calm, "The Police couldn't even get a good look at you. She's being careful and just went to see how the City's taking the whole deal.".

Sighing a bit, Alex walked towards the stairs, "Alright. I'm going to the City to. Just to make sure she's alright." He looked back at Mia who shrugged.

Alex disappeared from sight, leaving Mia by her lonesome, who gave a sigh after a few moments, "I need a cat.".

Near the center of the City Suna stands a small building. While normally surrounded with a barrier, it is also surrounded with Policemen as well.
Hundreds of Civilians have gathered, talking amongst themselves, spreads rumors and lies. Whilst Yuki sits on a wall nearly quarter of a mile from the scene, "It's their own fault for not having good security." She said softly, trying to lessen the guilt on her shoulders as she watches several people move away from the crowd.

"Did you hear what the Policemen said?" Commented an old looking lady, walking with another woman that appeared to be the same age, "Someone from Kasai snuck into the storehouse and stole some sort of engine.".

Chuckling a bit, Yuki looking back at the building, Police appeared to be taking action now as people from the crowd seemed to be moving away more rapidly, "It's about time. They've been standing there for like.. what?" The barrier seemed to vanish into thin air, as the crowd fell into panic, screams and shouts could easily be heard.

A thud erupted from her feet as she landed on the soft grass, easily an eight foot drop. She walked towards the scene, people avoiding her as they ran past, shouting things like 'Idiot', 'Dumbass', and other profound words.
The crowd was quickly gone, and several Policemen could be seen laying on the ground, while a man in red and black armor held one of them against the wall of the building, obviously a hostage of some sort. While two other armored man waited near the front of the door, dark colored guns in their hands, "Hey! Girl! Follow the crowd and get out of here!" Yuki changed her walk to a sprint, as she sped towards the armored men who took aim and fired, red plasma flying towards her.

She simply jumped over the plasma and continued on her path as the men continued to fire, Yuki dodging every step of the way, "She's to quick! Hurry up and help us!" one of the men shouted towards the man holding a hostage.

Yuki now mere feet away from the men, she yanked her fist back, ready to bash one of them, but a quicker punch interrupted, smashing her in the stomach, sending her flipping several yards backwards, but quickly regaining her balance, looking at the man who hit her, "I can't believe you almost let that girl hit you." A whitish-tan Male stood at 5'6", brown hair that was a bit long looking, covering a bit of his eyes, which were a green color.
But most noticeable of all was the fox-like tail that could be seen coming out of his jeans. In his hand is a simple computer chip.

Yuki quickly rushed at the Boy, water pouring out from the bottle on her waist, and forming into several icicles, which were shot towards his chest.
A shocked expression could be noticed on his face, but there was no time to talk, and he quickly punched the air with his free hand, a burst of fire flying towards the icicles, turning them into cold water as they splashing into his jeans, "Your a Proxy?" the Boy asked, looking at Yuki who seemed equally shocked to have her attack be melted, "I'll have to put in word to have someone come get you.".

One of the armored men quickly pulled out an orb, throwing it to the ground as smoke sprayed out of it, and directly towards Yuki, who had her eyes open at the time and was temporarily blinded. Within moments she could see again, and could find no trace of them, but a circle of light could be seen where they once stood.
Looking up, a large hole in the barrier that surrounded the City could be seen, along with a simple Air Balloon, with a Pyro Symbol on it, the Symbol of the Kasai Nation.

"A Hot air Balloon?" Yuki said to herself, confused on the simple traveling method.
The Balloon quickly moved over the hole in the barrier, which shut, as fans of some sort began spinning on the basket of the balloon, giving it a rather powerful speed boost.

Yuki looked around as several more Policemen showed up, she quickly took off, not wanting to draw any more attention to herself.

-

"Yuki!" Shouted Alex, who was quickly walking around town, as a Boy who stood at about 5'6", with longish brown hair, and a fox-like tail sticking out his jeans walked by him, giving him an odd glance as he did so.
