Hey, thanks for pointing me to the new trailer. I had heard there was a new trailer, but I forgot about it. Yeah, this looks like it could be a really great movie.

“Hey, we need to make Sandman EXTRA bad. But how do we do it? I mean, we have too many characters, and a limited amount of time for the movie.”

“Why don't we make it so that he killed Uncle Ben?”

“Fuckeneh.”

How are they going to handle it if it turns out he did kill Uncle Ben? Does that mean that the guy Spider-Man vicariously killed (he could have not spooked him so much or caught him when he was falling out the window) was innocent?

Maybe this Sandman guy was helping that dude get away. I don't know. I haven't even seen the first Spiderman in a long time, so I can't remember if maybe there was another guy in the car with the thief, or if they're just going to have to mangle the Sandman into that plot point somehow.

I do kind of wish they didn't make EVERY supervillain have a personal connection to Peter Parker. I'm sure that in Spiderman 4, the villain will be Aunt May.

I say give them a chance before we judge the movie. The first two Spiderman movies are amazing, and I'm sure they'll find a way to make the plot work out.

Still no actual shot of Venom in the new trailer though. I hope they won't have him just show up in the last few minutes of the movie just out of obligation.

There's another trailer out there… I think it's from Wizard World. Anyway, it was sort of a prototype of the trailer we have here (a lot of the cgi isn't even finished) and it was shown at a convention just to appease the fans. Anyway, at the end of it you get a half-second shot of Venom, and he looks pretty good.

Jeez, what IS with this whole Uncle Ben/Sandman thing? I can hardly belive there's anyone that would really appreciate this extra story twist. It just ruines everything.

Furthermore, this trailer looks awsome. I hope it will be good, 'cause I was definatly looking forward to this movie.

And Evil Dead is nothing compared to Spider-Man when it comes to making a “Mother Fucking Shit Load of Money” movie, which I'm guessing is more than enough for skewing even Ramey's priorities.

Plot Outline: B Movie Legend Bruce Campbell is mistaken for his character Ash from the Evil Dead trilogy and forced to fight a real monster in a small town in Oregon.

There is still talk that the character Campbell will play in SM3 is Mysterio, Spidey's fishbowl-headed nemesis. He will be in the movie, but it just seems unlikely that they'll tag a fourth villain in there. It'd be too mnch like Joel Schumaker's last two Batflicks. (Why the hell would Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy ever team up?)

Seeing Venom in the Wizard World trailer boosts my opinion of this movie slightly. Granted, I loved the first two, even though Goblin was kind of… super sentai themed in the first movie. However, the choices made for Doc Ock was probably the most superior take on any comicbook supervillian in film (in my opinion of course) he wasn't evil or twisted for evil's sake, he had motivation, Ian McKelan's Magneto being on par of course.

As for good ol' Bruce, they can't have him play Mysterio, because the rule of the spiderman movies is that Bruce Campbell ALWAYS beats Spiderman/Peter, so casting him as Mysterio would break that rule and the very universe would implode in a hellish maelstrom of fire and reruns of American Idol.

Also, My Name Is Bruce sounds like a pretty awesome movie. I'd love to see the rumor of him being featured in a Freddy vs Jason sequel be true, but I ain't holdin' my breath.

Anyone else picking up the Army of Darkness/Marvel Zombies crossover?

The rumor as I heard it was that Bruce was going to play himself playing Mysterio in a film being produced about Spider-Man (which would be taken directly from a storyline in the Ultimate Spider-Man comic book). I was skeptical of this when I first heard it, but since the trailer implies some level of popularity to Spidey and the fact that Spider-Man merchandise is apparently being sold, it seems possible.
