Apples are better than coffee, in terms of keeping your ass up.

Caffeine obviously.
Read this comic. It is the greatest journal comic ever written and drawn. Trust me.

something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/FRS-Healthy-Powdered-14-Count-Packets/dp/B000QU5JSM

energy packets that you pour into a bottle of water and shake it. it works better than coffee, or tea when you have to stay awake. and plus it's far more healthy than coffee. :p
I'm on hitatus while I redo one of my webcomics. Be sure to check it out when I'n done! :)

Ive been told nuts work better than caffeine. So i went out and bought a huge bag of salted nuts. 600g bag. Will probably finish them by around 2 am. Energy drinks believe it or not made me feel more tired when I last did this and does amazon do 1 hour delivery cause i really want some of that. Unfortunatly stores are closed now. All I've got is my laptop and my nuts.

I hope that's not one sticky laptop you got. I know the oils on some nuts can make a real mess of things…

I actually do the medium black coffee plus three McIntosh apples thing during my work day. I'll be turbo speed for hours. Apples really do seem to have stimulant properties.

“You tell yourself to just
enjoy the process,” he added. “That whether you succeed or fail, win or
lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle.”

Very understandable. Most commercial energy drinks only provides you with a pick me up that's equivalent to sugar rush. Very good if you need to stay focused for an extra half an hour but you'll end up more tired in the long run.

Red ginseng extract is supposed to be the ultimate mind charger and is only recommended in very tiny dosage. It might have adverse effects on young people so kids are not allowed to touch that stuff and there was a fierce debate, back home, a few years back if high school students should be allowed to take them when studying for a test. Apart from that it's quite popular.

Your nuts may keep you up because you have to keep grabbing for them and that is a function that includes using your brain. I could have stopped to make it funny but I'd rather help.

Blast some Slipknot or something.
Maybe cause yourself constant pain so that you cannot fall asleep.

Or just pull it off. It's possible.

You should be OK. It was just some hyped up concerned parents debate that it would burn out their children. Wouldn't recommend giving it to a 6 year old though. Anyone who's given a small kid some caffeine can tell you why.

So far the nuts are about half way eaten and im washing them down with cola, the occasional cigarette helps and dipping my face in water is good for reassuring i stay awake. A bit of speed metal is additional support.

Haha I'd sarcastically say something like “Try going back in time and doing it at a logical date.” But I'd probably do the same.

So instead I'll just be very unhelpful and laugh. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Also a good thing to do is to dress light and point a fan at your face. Can't fall asleep if you're freezing to death. Unless that sleep is from the hypothermia. Then yeah you can.

But I digress; HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
I'm not really around much anymore, but here's my Tumblr, Twitter, and Deviantart. Also if you remember me from back when I was around, I'm sorry.

Self-hypnosis can keep you awake. Contrary to popular myth, there is NO sleeping during hypnosis.

I love all the stuff about grabbing your nuts and then putting your nutbag in your mouth. That got a huge laugh out of me :)

I hope the 7 out of 9 assignments are enough!

When I want to stay up all night, I find that eating constantly does help. Mainly high energy snacks and crappy junkfood. Stuff like pushups can help when your body starts to slow down too much.

I personally find that drinking lots of water throughout the night helps. I mean, it makes you have to use the bathroom several times a night. Needing to pee frequently works wonders for keeping you up; just ask anyone who's ever had a urinary tract infection.

That's a really, really unpleasant way to try and stay up. -_-

I used to drive a semi. I'm a master at this.

Do anything that keeps your brain active. Listen to music you know the lyrics to and have to recall to sing along (but you have to actually sing along, or it won't work). If you like talk radio, listen to some that isn't boring. (It doesn't have to be talk radio, it could be a radio program like Hitchhikers Guide or even an audio-book you find engaging, especially if it's funny.)

The brighter the room the better. It is possible to temporarily fool your circadian rhythm. Get up and walk around. (these two aren't possible on a truck, but when I'm burning the midnight oil to get a comic finished, they generally do the trick. Sit upright and never stay still for too long. Shift positions. Caffeine helps me, but it doesn't help everyone. I have a friend who could drink coffee all day and all night and still fall dead asleep.

Do what Mack does in Cars. I laughed when I saw that, because I've made those faces myself, but it does work a little.

If you've extended yourself too much, your body will take over as fatigue sets in and you will find yourself succumbing to micro-sleep. (that disorienting feeling like you're just waking up but don't remember falling asleep and have lost track of time.) After a few of these, if you haven't taken measures to keep your brain active, you're done for and are going to pass out eventually.

I tried this once… read the wikipedia article on John Wayne Gacy. Managed to stay up all night because if I fell asleep, “The Clown might eat me”…

Urinating every so often at night to stay awake is a lot better than having taken your Metformin, then going out to porcelan throne for a couple minutes or more…
