I just beat NaNoWriMo at 50,281 words. I don't get this proud of myself often.
I've beat it with over 77k words and a finished novel :D

I found a note outside my door that reads, “You Kill Pimps,”

I hope Simon's okay! Usually an abcess is just a catfight wound or something that gets infected. That seems like a lot of money to poke around though. :/

I'd be in the poorhouse if I hadn't gotten pet insurance for my dog. So now all 3 animals have it, even though it costs me £60 a month for the lot of them. Union's has already paid for itself for the next 4 years, and I'm sure one of the cats will get into expensive trouble sooner or later.
Insurance is something to weigh up… hmmm.
He's pretty good with not getting injured in fights, but that will be a bigger problem when he gets older and too weak to defend himself properly or recover easily.
The vet said the abscess probably wasn't caused by a fight… Maybe a grass seed (unlikely because his coat isn't very long), or something else.
PIT_FACE
i'm sorry to hear it Oz. i hope he's allright. good luck man.
Thanks Pit. I'll know later today. Hopefully things will be ok.

We're thinking about getting pet insurance. We have three pets, and vets charge ridiculous fees for things. All three of them have needed to see a vet in the past few months, too. Baby had some weird allergic reaction, Haiku got in a fight(I think) and hurt his nose, and Buddy has a weird lump by his collar. So pet insurance is probably a good idea.

Hee, Baby keeps going in my drawer. :) Kittens are funny because everything they do is super adorable.

I've only gotten 6 hours of sleep tonight, but I don't care, I am going to the gym! I might end up wanting to crash for a nap around 4pm but I don't want to skip the gym again. >:[

ONLY 6 hours? Man, that's ideal ^^
I got about 4 last night… So no exercise for me. -_-

And kitty cat is STILL at the vets T_T
He had to have tissue removed and a drain put in: -puss. puss puss, puss etc.
So he's staying over another night so they can take the stuff out tomorrow and THEN I can take him home.

Wow… good luck with your cat. I hope he gets better soon.

I'm finding it very hard to let go of my Arcee car in Forza Motorsport 2. Even though Forza Motorsport 3 is out and I can get it soon I still try to bid on cars in the game I have now. And bidding is still pretty fierce. From a mere 5k credits to over 10 million in fact! I need to play the game more or make a really creative car design that people will fight over.

I'm beginning to find out just how much fun playing an auction for these cars can be…

whoa… there's a pornographic (hentai) car for sale. That's a cheap way to get bidders.

-_-

Great… there's one car I'm trying to get, but I'm up against a ton of bidders. Who knew that graphics on a car from an anime called “Lucky Star” would be this popular? The guy selling this Mazda RX-7 Savanna is gonna be one happy guy tonight. T_T

And with only 100k creds to my name, I'm not gonna last long in this bidding war I've found myself in. T_T

In my youthful overworked college days, 5 was ideal for me. Now that I'm older and slower, I need around 7. :]

The problem with naps is that there's a period of about 20 minutes after I wake up where I really drag before the energy hits.

I get 4 hours or less a night - it's not good and I'm always tired, but if I slept any more I wouldn't have any time to draw.

Hey, I'm actually taking years of my life expectancy just to draw comics and I bet you don't even appreciate it. :(
Is it so hard to pick up a few flowers on the way home once in a while?

I had a nap tonight. A good four hours…
Trouble is, now I know that wen I go to bed for real I'll sleep like crap -_-

I used to sleep 4 hours part of the day, work, then sleep 3 hours, work more, then go tobed again and repeat. So it'd be 7 hours staggered over a 24 hour period.

I LOVED that, but while that was ideal for my student days and for some of my graphic desin work, it's not really compatible with proper work hours. I could maaaaybe manage it though. Just :)

It might just be that I only got an hour and a half last night, or it might just be that I'm getting more aggressive and irritable, but I'm getting really fucking sick of people arguing over pointless stupid shit. It is not that important who does the damn job, I just want it done. And I don't even want to hear why every theory, concept or idea on earth is wrong, just because some stuck-up, tit-faced, ass of a pig doesn't agree with it. Next person who opens their mouth to yap on about such and such subjective topic and shoot down everyone else might just get a sock to the face.

———-

I'm thinking about leaving DD. Or at least the forums Maybe not permanently, but at least for a good while. While I do enjoy following a few of the comics here, it seems to me like all the people who really made it pleasurable to stop and chat for a while have gone and poofed off somewhere, and the lack of comic relief is making things seem rather a bit stale and unsociable.

I finally graduated into the ranks of a full-fledged social worker today when one of my clients promised to kill me if I came by his family again. The only downside is that he lives down the street from me, barely even 100 yards away, so it's gonna be a bit awkward checking the mail every morning. I could almost see it though, us walking out, facing off and pointing imaginary guns at each other, if not for that whole he was so serious he was about to cry deal. His wife was trying to hold him back and his daughters were crying “daddy calm down” and blah blah and I just shrugged and told him we'd do what we had to. We were THIS close to fighting on the steps of the courthouse.

The cherry on top? He said this in front of a judge. Too bad it wasn't the one who had just tried the case and threw it out.
God needed the Devil, the Beatles needed the Rolling Stones, Hakoshen needs me.
I'm the enemy he requires to define him.
Soon or later, he'll bring me back to life again for another epic encounter of shouting about power levels and grimacing.

I'm not saying you don't make things pleasant, but since I haven't had much cause to actually be in a conversation with you I really just don't know you that well. I was more lamenting the leaving of some of the folks who I've talked with to a greater extent on the forums who made the experience enjoyable to me. I suppose I didn't phrase it particularly well.

—————

so 2 weeks ago i faxed in my insurance paper work so i wouldn't lose my license. they got it and told me ten days….yesterday i called to ask why my license hadn't been reinstated, and they said because a week ago, they determined that it wasn't official and that telling me would be too much hassle for them.

so i had the right paperwork faxed to my insurance company, and then had them fax that filled out and back….and now it's gonna be 10 days…

Why do I always get “pus” and “puss” mixed up? Damn spelling… I will never, ever, ver master it! >.<

——————–

I just remembered- In one of the dreams I has last night, I was looking out at the sun setting over the ocean and the colours were amazingly beautiful: Molten fiery reds, oranges and yellows, like the inside of a volcano, surrounded by solid dark grey-bluey/violet cloud, with the sea looking dark and silvery like liquefied polished iron ore.
VERY pretty.

Funny because it was a dream about shady business dealing and snarky interpersonal politics. I found the pretty sunset more interesting than the tawdry human drama.

Wow… made a quick car design. I wonder if it'll sell, or if I'll get flames from any fans of the show “Dukes of Hazzard”. No, I didn't make a knockoff of the famous “General Lee” car. Rather, I chose a 1970 Ford Boss 429 and gave it an azure color, black stripes, a flag on the roof with 34 stars in it, “X-1” on the doors, and gave it the name “General Grant”. Oh… and there's a blood smear on the left bumper/fender. :)

Update/edit: Whoa… I actually sold the car. Then again it had a buyout price. Went and modified the design to include that not so famous general's rank and a little more blood…

Wow… I think I'm close to hitting rock bottom… Not only is my car broken down, but now I've lost my keys. While I'm glad to have spare keys to use, I can't help but think that there's someone out there who's willing to use every key on every house he can find ‘til he finds the right one to raid… Looks like I’m gonna have to change all my locks tomorrow. :(

No idea on how I'll change the locks on my car, though. T_T
