And if you also grew up with the original to start with, obviously you're going to be more attached to it.
Not true in my case. I grew up with the Derbyshire mix, and I find it the most annoying of all the versions. Probably because it's so old sounding. ;)

Well you're just a big poop. Don't deny it! lol!

Which one's better out of Blue Thunder and Airwolf?

You all fail at life. There is only one TV theme to rule them all.

BEHOLD! Keep in mind this is the FULL song from the intro and short episodes, so it has some extra lyrics.

Actually, Airwolf was CBS' response to the incredible success OF Blue Thunder. MUch like they developed “Battlestar Glactica” to suckle on the teet of Star Wars.

But if you are talking about the TV SERIES Blue Thunder vs. AIRWOLF? AIRWOLF, no comparison. Here's some trivia too:
The CD soundtrack for the show, Airwolf Themes: 2CD Special Limited Edition (GERCD3), is a collectors' item selling for up to $981 “a world record” on eBay, making it the “World's Most Expensive Television Soundtrack”. Only 1,000 copies were made. A sequel soundtrack will be released in late 2007.

Yeah, Blue Thunder only had a few TV episodes… Great movie of course, but personally I thought it was a better idea for a TV series than Airwolf… That's just me though. :(

But of course Airwolf was better because it continued! It also had a great soundtrack, had Earnest Borgnine, Jan Michael Vincent, etc…

FOUR THEMES!

MURDER ONE
WHY? This is a Shakespearean law show! The music TOTALLY reflects that!

THE SHIELD
WHY? There is screaming in the theme music - are you kidding?! That's cool!

LOST
WHY? That brief opening IS the whole show! When I have a brain fart, I feel like that music is just playing in the background.

COWBOY BEBOP
WHY? You gotta love JAZZ!!!

I never saw the BT TV series, but I thought the helicopter was destroyed at the climax of the movie. Roy Schieder is always blowing things up.

I hate it when TV takes liberties like that. It cheapens the movie. :(

The thing that made Airwolf better than BT is that it looked like a civilian chopper, but actually was a heavily armed combat helicopter. That and of course TURBO BOOST!

I just recently got interested in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I enjoy all the music, generally speaking. Who knew digging could be an interesting theme for an anime about giant robots?

The short haunting theme for 4400 by Amanda Abizaid gets stuck in my head for days at a time sometimes. Unusually, it's good enough that I don't mind.

I really like the Batman/Superman intro from the 90's, and the opening for R.O.D The TV.
