Quoting msn as I read the results: Perfect season goes poof.

That's a fucking understatement. I was rooting for the patriots and was kicking myself for being unable to see it. Now I'm kinda glad since I probably would have one less tv in the house.

And it also happened on the last possible moment too. I mean….. eagh!!!
Those were my two cents.

I'm quite happy that they won. It was about time the Patriots fail.

I just wanted the Giants to win because they're George R. R. Martin's favorite team…and a happy GRRM means a better chance of him writing more of his Song of Fire and Ice series ^.^

Being that my wife is from New England area, rooting for the Patriots is mandatory.

Besides, how cool would it have been if they've come out of this with a perfect win streak. No one has pulled that of since the Dolphins 1972. Don't you think its due time for a repeat.
Those were my two cents.

I was just glad something happened… up until fourth quarter that was the most boring Super Bowl I'd ever seen…

I completely agree. I was expecting it to be a 10-3 Super Bowl… Even the commercials weren't good.

I am so glad I live in the UK, so that none of this means anything to me.

If it did, I'd probably say “Yay- Giants!”. But only because they sound like a team from a Tolkien novel!

Well it was a great freaking game. It got to the point that I didn't care who won. Save for the fact that the Patriot's defense was pretty much a disgrace up until the last quarter.

I watched the whole game, and I'm not much of a football fan, just to root for the Patriots. And you know what? It was one hell of a Superbowl. Two really great teams went head-to-head, it was a close game throughout, and I think each team should be proud that they did their best.

The Giants had a great defense and managed to keep Tom Brady corralled. And the Pats had an equally good defense until the last quarter, managing to push the Giants back repeatedly. This whole game would have been changed had the Pats taken the field goal in the, what, second quarter? Instead they tried to convert on fourth and lost it.

Overall, I was pleased with the best, and most exciting, Superbowl game in years. Even if my team lost. (By a very narrow margin I might add.)

This was an awesome game. I don't follow football, I find the games on TV boring, and yet I watched 85% of this game, even though the commercials were all boring except for the one where Timberlake got pummeled.

I can't believe anyone can think that this was a boring game.

Yes, the Timberlake commercial was hilarious. I would pay money to see it again and again. I suppose the guy has a pretty decent sense of humor if he's willing to let himself be portrayed like that.

He's trying to erase his past Super Bowl shame.
This commercial does a pretty decent job of it.

I like how up until now everyone rode this game off as “hey, whatever”, seeing it as a one sided match between a dominating team and a team that can be best described as pfft. I work in a sports bar and we gave away free shit all day, and we were dead. Seriously, we ordered four times as much food to get ready, despite everyone reminding the managers that the game was no big deal. We all wanted the Giants to win, because none of us have really cared for the Patriot's cheating ways, but we never thought that would be the case.

A day later and no one will shut the hell up about it. The only reason the Giants won is because the Patriots aren't what they used to be. They're that team that can get so far, but just fail at pulling their shit together in the last leg. Boo hoo, I'm glad they lost. With this and the cheating accusations floating over their heads, maybe for once everyone will just drop the idea that they're anything less than the BEST TEAM EVER.

Man, wasn't it great that Sci-Fi Channel played Star Trek Enterprise all day long??

I'm glad so many enjoyed the game, I just have no sports tolerance…except maybe for soccer.

I watched almost the entire game (I missed part of the third quarter) and was thoroughly entertained. The Giants' defence was brutal and out for blood. At one point they brought up pressure stats for the two quarterbacks. Brady was pressured thirty-some times, sacked three or four, and knocked down over ten. I didn't quite believe Brady's passing stats because it seemed like he was getting mowed down every second play. The Patriots' juggernaught offence got slapped around like they were a high school team trying to match up to the Giants.

I didn't really care who won as I like both teams, but that said it's always fun to see the underdog pull it out in real life.

Well, I was rooting for the Pats, but I think the Giants deserved it. Why? Because they played better. Call me crazy. However, that last pass (or at the very least, the CATCH) was luck and you all know it. ;)

But, at least now I don't have to listen to a bunch of NY whiner cry babies telling me how the Pats cheated all year. Oh, that's right. I still had to do that. Well, that's the internet for ya. It lets you condemn people without a shred of proof at the speed of light. :/

But the most important thing is that the commercials were disappointing and even though I like Tom Petty, the halftime show was a lame, “safe”, “ra ra America” crapfest.

as many of you know, I live in Japan…. I saw the game live at eight Monday morning, but had to leave for work with 2:30 left in the 4th quarter…. I got to work thinking that NE won the game :( I did not know or get to see NY's final TD ?!?!?!?
I would so much love to see the last 3 mins of the game… but it was replayed at 0230 Tuesday morning (-_-) ZZZZZzzzzz
so I have looked high and low on the net for the last 3 minutes of the 4th quarter, does anyone know where I can watch/down load it?!?!?

Well, you can go to NFL.com to see the play that won it for the Giants. HERE is the play (hope it works). But The Giants kept the lead with some really great defense too. Tom Brady was denied all over the place.

What I find as the FINAL insult from the NFL is that you can see all the Superbowl commercials on NFL.com, but every single video starts with a Planters peanut ad first. So you have to sit through an ad… to watch another ad.

For anyone that didn't see them, don't bother. I mean, ads that showcase Richard Simmons and Carlos Mencia? WTF??

The only one that was slightly funny was the Justin Timberlake ad. I can't remember what they were selling (effective, huh?). But I wouldn't sit through it more than once, anyway. :P
