Awesome ad spoof that opens up like a movie trailer… or is it?

Turn up your sound for this one. Just do it.

that is the best argument for gun ownership i have ever seen, automatic weapons protect you against wierdos with knives!
Of course you will. All intelligent beings dream. Nobody knows why.

Also, tell random people they are awsome! it helps!

As well as dads who forget their keys…
And neighbours who want to check that you're safe…
And your kids coming home late…
And anyone else who's unlucky enough to live near you :P

It's the best argument for proper policing I've ever seen.

No they shouldn't. That's insane.
Besides, the girl would've been much better off with a simple pump action shotgun if she was that crazy about slef deffence.

But decent doorlocks and normal home security would be all she would need. While the doofus with the knife is busy scratching around the police would already be there.

Oh you crazy British people. Taking a respectable and descriptive cereal name like “Frosted Flakes” and truncating it into the unfortunate calorie-connotating moniker of “Frosties”. And what's up with the kid with the spiked hair singing reggae with Tony the Tiger? That ain't right on eighteen different levels.

Seriously, Britishland. Start being cool again.

I will agree that would be over-the-top for a real gun shop commercial - some things are better left understated. I don't really want to get into the “policing” matter here, but while I'm fortunate enough to live in a subdivision right handy to the regional RCMP HQ and every second house here is the abode of a Mountie, active or retired, not everyone has the amenity of instant police/emergency response, especially in isolated areas. Therefore, I have come to view the “gun control” premise with an increasing degree of skepticism. It's a very complicated issue that, IMO, has less to do with inanimate objects in one's posession than it has to do with responsibility, accountablity, respect for the rights of others and the vagaries of human behavior. Address the attitude and behavior, and you are closer to getting to the root.

I didn't watch the video but I know which ad that Tony the Tiger one is. I'm sure that kid got the crap beat out of him by his schoolmates as soon as it aired.

There are some good British commercials… hm. Stella Artois makes some good ones. My favorite (the random one) isn't on Google video though… http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=stella+artois

Someone else does good commercials too but I forget who. I don't think Honda counts because most of those go over to the US too (except the funny diesel engine song). http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4758853185909246357&q=honda+diesel

Most are pretty stupid though.

That was a lovely song by Garrison Keelor!

Yah, I see the point in the foootball/soccer team ^_^
Some famous names there.
The play looked real too, but it can't be (do you think?), they're so old now…

As for gun control Coy. Ya, it's a sort of funny add. As for reality, automatic weapons are for war and high level policing only. A good shotgun would be way better for self deffence, as well as a safer gun to own- and even most places with “gun control” allow ownership of shotguns.
