The last half an hour was the most important piece of the movie.

I would have to disagree. I found it to be the most pointless part of the movie. It changed the film from having a deep dramatic tone and a touch of Hans Christian Anderson-esque story telling, to something more mushy and campy. As I said, it ruined the film. Not to mention that it was a deus ex machina that didn't even make sense in the context of the story.

Interesting view Iskun, I'd tend to agree actually.
But that doesn't make its impact on our self confessed crazy netherlander any the less. If it affected you like that Crazy Dutchman, then on some level it has to be a good film.

Wait. What happens at the end? I tried watching A.I., but was too bored to get to the end.

A.I. did have a really cool set of webpage promos for the movie, though.

I wept like a baby, repeatedly, watching Cool Runnings. Same with the Green Mile. Also, Romeo Must Die, and (sob) Kung Fu Hustle.

I'm so silly sometimes.

Chinese movies make me cry on a regular basis. The only western movie I can even think of was A Beautiful Mind. I bawled so hard at that. Also, every Miyazaki movie ever made.

The Green Mile was sad. Philadelphia was sad. More recently, Brokeback Mountain was pretty damn sombre itself. But none of them seemed to affect me personally. I guess I don't cry very often and frequently at the wrong things? I nearly cried at Blade Runner. Very strange phenomenon.

(A.I. was gross, sorry. I couldn't get into it at all. :? All that blue fairy whatever, the cheap dramatic twists, and what was Jude Law even doing there? Sorry.)

I watched part of A.I. and I can only remember being creeped out by the fact that they buy their andriod son… weeeeeird. I can never take “andriods are real living things with hearts and souls, yo!” seriously. But that's just me.

I cried during Mr. Magoo… when I was about 5 or so. Becuase, you know, going over waterfalls can kill you.

Thank you Kain. That was a truly profound and inspiring statement.

P.S. I bet you cried during Mr. Magoo too. It's ok, we can cry when he goes over the waterfall together.

Godzilla, Mothra and King Gihdorah, Giant monsters All-Out Attack!
(Full film title)

it's so tragic.
Of course you will. All intelligent beings dream. Nobody knows why.

Also, tell random people they are awsome! it helps!

I am a grown man and can admit, YES there are all kinds of movies that made me cry:

Walk The Line–Since it just came out on DVD today Im not gonna ruin it for those who havent seen it yet.

Cinderella Man–When Jim Braddock is going around to the boxing promoters begging for money…sad.

Someone alredy mentioned the Joy Luck Club, Braveheart, The Last Samurai, yes all of that.

But the one that really gets me…

What Dreams May Come–When Robin Williams' kids die in that movie, and also when he's in hell trying to get his wife back…Damn that robin williams, because The Fisher King, Dead Poets Society, Bi-Centennial Man,
all of those have done it at one point or another as well.

every body knows that on a REAL ship that is sinking, they say “Woman and children first!” not full grown males that only need to spread there seed, and sit on the couch and slap bitches around, and complain about every thing.

To respond to the original topic - I can't recall any movies that have actually made me cry. There were two that made me feel like crying when they were done, though, and those were Soylent Green and Seven (or Se7en or whatever the title is -) I thought they were good movies but they really depressed me. Soylent Green is the scariest movie I've ever seen.
