Can you edit your post so it's not all in capital letters. It's slightly off putting for me to read.

I work in a can plant. If I had to pick the worst thing it would probably be the hours. The shifts are twelve hours long, and because I haven't been there long enough to earn a bid shift (working the same days every week) they can put me wherever they want, which often means I end up working seven days in a row. This week it would have been seven days but the plant was closed for Memorial Day.

The job itself sometimes bothers me too - most weeks I'm an inspector. I monitor the lines and test the product for weaknesses in the paint and all that. It's my responsibility to tell the line operators when I see something wrong with the product. Well - some of them don't like that very much. They use tactics that discourage inspectors to tell them that there are problems. I was told this would happen during my training, but I didn't understand it until I saw it myself. Some I've encountered are telling me it's not their problem (even before I've explained what I'm seeing), happily ignoring me (“That's nice! ^_^” ), getting angry at me (“Don't give me that shit,” one guy snapped at me), and rationalizing (“Oh, they won't care about that because it's getting another coat.” ) It's so frustrating, but it's helped me grow a spine, at least.

I'm sure the fact that I constantly quote charlie the unicorn whenever she walks by ( replacing “Charlie” with “Carly” ) doesn't help that.

boring… sitting down all the time.

I have to at least walk around and stretch every couple hours.

I hate the mind numbing tediousness of my job. I work at a store, I could spend hours straightening up a department, ten minutes later it's trashed and I have to start all over again. And again. And again. AND AGAIN. Thank god I'm quiting.

I like the work that I do… it's usually something a little new and different every day.
The bad part of the job is working with the advertising reps.

I work at a newspaper, in the graphic design department, where we build all the ads that get published in our paper. That's the fun part. I'm in a position of management where I get to relay back and forth with the sales reps, who seem to do everything they can to make our jobs difficult. Smiling at us, and backstabbing us all at the same time. :)

Though I enjoy the problem solving and troubleshooting that comes with the position, sometimes I wonder if I might just be happier going back to just being a straight up graphic artist and not even knowing half the stuff that goes on. At the same time, I'm grateful for the knowledge and ability to step in and make changes too. So I won't complain too much. I suppose.

Whirlwynd - I can understand a bit what it's like to work with the line operators. I think just about anywhere you go there are people who would rather turn a blind eye, than take the effort to fix the problem. That would drive me nuts.

I don't have a job. But my older friends do. It's mostly just hating their bosses for being racist assholes.

School sucks, too! All you do is sit around all day and wait for it to end. And the worst part is? No pay!

Man, I wish they would actually put a clock in my cafeteria… They can't afford a clock?!

This year, school's full of BS!!!

Shuuunnnnnn the non-believer! Shuuuuunnnn!!

I work in admin at the moment. What I hate most are the people. Don't get me wrong, they're nice people. But when there's 12 of them and only one of you and they all put crap on your desk at 9am that they need by 10am….you start feeling the urge to kill. Particularly when you know for a fact that they've been moving that specific piece of paper around their own desk for the last three weeks. Its so disrespectful, not only to me but to the 11 other people that I work for and their many clients for them to do that.

I've been told I should be flattered that they do it because it means they think I'm super capable. They have even said that's why they do it - they know I'll get it done no matter what. Its still rude and disrespectful though, I don't care what excuse they use to try and justify it.

Wow, I feel a whole lot better having gotten that out.

I know that feeling! It is flattering, but it's also taking advantage of you. It can seriously cross a line too, when suddenly you're not only responsible for your job responsibilities, but you're fulfilling other people's responsibilities too. I've been there and came awfully close to burning out and walking out the door yelling obscenities at everyone on the way. :)

Well I work in a comic book shop. Let's see what I've got to complain about.

- 12 year olds who yell, scream and whine (In those annoying pre-pubescent voices where every second word has some misplaced profane word) that I gave them a ‘dud’ pack of trading cards on purpose and should therefore give them a free one as compensation

- Star Trek nerds who drool over the models of the ships and then leave their prints and saliva all over the cases (it's a bitch to clean up, let me tell you)

- I have to get up at 5 in the morning to get a bus and then a train into Sydney city, which can take an hour and a half, all so I can help open the shop at 7am (So you know, I arrive there with 3 minutes to spare)

- Japanese kids who scoff at me for reading manga during some quiet periods (So I like Deathnote, who cares?)

- When we do get busy, every one knows I'm the reliable one, so they almost automatically take lunch breaks that aren't scheduled for another 4 hours

- The closest fast food place is Subway, it takes me 10 minutes to get there, 5 minutes for the staff to get off their arses and make the damn sandwich, and I only get a half hour break

- The manager reports me if I spend even one minute longer on my break, despite the fact she disappears for two hours when she's only supposed to have one hour off

- No store discounts or freebies

Yeah, it's not as glamourous as it may seem. I mean hey, we hardly ever get busy and I can handle the customers and co-workers, it's just not exactly a job I'd suggest every one try and get
