Choose a comic and tell us what would be a perfect theme song for it. For Example

Comic: Golden Gamers

Hm… this is an interesting thread. I've thought about theme songs for myself for a while, but I've never given much thought to theme songs for other comics…

Really? I was thinking something like Sufjan Stevens' “THE BLACK HAWK WAR, or, How to Demolish an Entire Civilization and Still Feel Good About Yourself in the Morning, or, We Apologize For The Inconvenience but You're Going to Have to Leave Now, or, ‘I have fought the Big Knives and will continue to fight them until they are off our lands!’” for the intro. You know, as sort of a flying shot over the City. But hey, if that song works too, then by all means go with it.

Mazoo, I don't think that “every song ever thought of combined into one mega-song” would work for TEO. Because then we'd have to include David Bowie's “Let's Dance”, as well as Olivia Newton John's “Have You Never Been Mellow” and the entire oeuvre of John Cougar Mellencamp. And I don't want that. Maybe every good song ever thought of combined into one mega-song. But then I'd still be left with a theme song that would be quite a few days longer than the TV show itself. Still, it's good music; I doubt anyone would care. (I was personally going to go with the Presidents of the United States of America's “Good Evening Ladies Gentlemen Pt. 1”. It builds up tension, it captures the “whooo rock” feel of TEO, and it even has a Part 2 to play over the end credits.)

Penis: Popcorn or the birdie song. (I don't know who did those two brilliantly iconic songs)
TEO: the theme to Peter Gun (Henri Mancini)
Elija and Azuu: What's a matter you! (by Joe Dolce)
Jump: Closer (Nine inch Nails)

For some reason I think the song “I'm too sexy for my shirt” would work for Pinky TA.

I was just being silly, IanJay. Besides, not only would it be longer than reading TEO itself, I bet it would have some evil undertone to go pilage all the other comics on the web and steal their corn or something, and we wouldn't want that now, would we?

Hmm… a theme song for Arch Angel…

“Stockholm Syndrome” by Muse comes to mind, but that's a pretty dark song, and consequently it reminds more of my character Dark than the comic itself.

If there's no artist, then that means I don't know who did it

BK: Shattered Hate
Angels - Robbie Williams (Listen to the lyrics, it does have some meaning)

Seven Planets: Forgotten Destiny
The Hamster Dance Song (I know, but that's what Khessu wants it to be)

Nemution Jewel
Dude looks like a lady (The kid does, especially the outfits)

WTF Renewed
Dumb Things - Paul Kelly (Speaks for itself)

Mafital
Fantasy (Even though it's the rejects)

Bad Guy High
Holding out for a hero (They always need heroes and such)

She Who Destroys Light
By my side - INXS (Lyrics again)

Pink Skin
Girls just wanna have fun (It's a less serious version of Pinky TA so it fits, I guess)

Pinky TA
Sisters are doin' it for themselves (Can't remember why)

Because I often think in movie terms I end up thinking about music a lot for drawing comics.

Theme song for Blown a Wish would be easy – Blown a Wish by My Bloody Valentine. Not at all my favourite MBV track, but it's bitter and grinding. Most of the darker tracks from MBV would work as the title-track for the comic, easily.

I'd probably use Unwound's For Your Entertainment for Y?.

And any crazy song from Kid Koala for Timo Bev. Maybe Music for Morning People.

Cat!
Welcome to the gutter (Cause he lives in a garbage bin)

Pr0ncrest
I'm so lonely tonight (The girls in that comic always seem to be playing with themselves)

Starving Artists
Simply the Best - Tina Turner (Cause the artists are cool)

Gods of Arrkelaan
Searching for you (Ronson searches for Emily)

Vampire Phantasm
My Immortal - Evanescene(Can't remember why, but it just seems to fit)

Wait a minute…

Oz, is that what the TA in “Pinky TA” really stands for? Because…

Because that's just nasty. It's not even “wink wink, nudge nudge” funny, just… just nasty.

I can't believe it took me this long to figure that out.
