I saw that Belle at AWA, but cosplayers are getting better in my opinion. It just depends on which cons you go to I suppose.

There were almost no cosplayers at all at the Baltimore Comic-Con yesterday. After seeing the teeming throngs of costumes in San Diego, I was surprised. In fact, I only saw two people there who were dressed up: One was Batman, and the other was some black guy in a trenchcoat and sunglasses who might have been Morpheus, might have been Blade, and might have been just some black guy in a trenchcoat and sunglasses. (Anyways, people were lining up just to get pictures with him.)

So… bit of a letdown there, really. Without the people-watching– or the panels (BCC was a bit weak in the scheduled content area, too)– the whole thing was mostly just a giant comics-related shopping mall. (Not that I'm complaining. I picked up some good stuff at good prices– like Gods of Arr-Kelaan Book One for a paltry five bucks. Score!)

Oh yes. Let's laugh at the people with the amazing ability of recreating outfits from mere pixels or from computer images. T_T

Geez, it's people having fun and being creative. You really shouldn't be so quick to judge them.

Shouldn't we leave the geeks alone to try and grab attention? After all, without them, who would you laugh at at conventions?

Geeks laughing at geeks. There is something really sad about that. It only makes matters worse that cosplayers also tend to have more self confidence than con-goers who don't cosplay. This often also means they have more active social lives.

And why the hell are we debating cosplayers anyways? Isn't there something cooler we could be debating?!

All right. Let's debate LASERS.

Okay then. Why the hell are they so straight? They should bend round corners or something.

Hey, they live their lives how they wish, they don't gotta answer to no one! They don't have to be curved, they can do what they want!

I think that the Bible meant for lasers to be straight. Not curved. Also they shouldn't be all "rainbowy" either.

didn't god create the rainbow as an promise to the humans?

so why would lasers being all rainbowy be such a bad thing?

Because it's not natural!

But you see rainbows in nature! there's even an trout called the rainbow trout.. and you always see an arch of rainbow after a rain!

how is that not natural if it's seen in nature? ;)

Wrong, it was "Intelligent Internets". "Creating" the internet through "science" is just a theory, and I demand that "Intelligent Internets" be realized as fact.

what? but surley to be taken seriously you must first prove the existence of said creating power? how can something be proved to have been creative without any evidence of the creator?

I heart cat-girls and Gothic Lolitas, but there are some cosplayers who use their powers for evil.

And by “some” I mean Man-Faye.

So the third was good, but also bad? Hmm, methinks you meant to say the 4th the second time. ;)
That first one is a loveable freak and I like the girl in the last one who's in her undies is great. I don't care if she's got big thighs, that's costume enough for me!
I still see nothing wrong in general with people dressing up, especially if the person dressing up is female, and for them “dressing up” just entails walking around in their underpants…
