I don't suppose anyone here would happen to use Flash MX 2004, would you?

Today me and a friend from the forum have been helping me with some tips on the comic, and my mission was to go back and retool some of the pages. Because I didn't use the speech bubbles as separate items, I literally had to go back and erase them and redesign most of the blank white spots (because I got pretty far up until this point, I certainly learned my mistake from here on… x__X …so I gotta redo most of everything.). Although I managed to save it after at least a good few hours, Flash MX 2004 won't open the file now due to supposed ‘not enough memory’ and won't let me open up the page at all to finish the final details. It was a pretty laboring process, and I don't think I've got much of the energy to virtually redo the whole page again.

For anyone who doesn't use this tool (or if you do, please help. xD), suppose you were in a situation where one of your pages became no longer usable until something happens. You don't have any spare copies, and you're left with the original page you're not satisfied with on DrunkDuck (or at least one that might make or break the comic for readers). Would you go ahead and do it over or just leave it be, finding an alternative?

simple download the file from DD and alter it. I assume the problem is down to corrupted file so that should be a fix for you.

I don't know if Flash MX 2004 will allow me to edit it. :/ I can try though. ^^ I'll take a look into it tonight; most sites say it's a hiccup in the design of the program, otherwise I could just use MSPaint or something. But that wouldn't work, I think.

Thanks. =)

I'm not familiar with flash so I can't say about that but editing a 2D image is easy.
If you only have MSpaint I would recommend downloading paint.net or gimp for better results though, you could then use another layer for the tweaks.

Okay. =) A Flash guide website said that an alternative would be Photoshop, but I'm not sure my computer has the power to run it. xD (256MB of RAM… though it seems to feel bigger. *so not a computer expert, lol*)

the two I mentioned are free alternatives to photoshop and probably less ram intensive.

GIMP works great! 8D I love it! Although, this is probably gonna be a dumb question - I can't seem to find the line tool. xD Page 1 had a lot of those, and since I draw on a mouse (lol), lines get shaky offhand unless I do it with that.
