One person's “comic brilliance” is another's inaccurate off-the-cuff remark :P

Spoken like someone who can't write comedy. :p You probably think Monty Python's Flying Circus is a documentary on circuses featuring snakes.

Accuracy doesn't matter in comedy writing, exaggeration of facts to make a comedic point is the classic, stretching analogies to the point of ridiculousness. That sense of the absurd. That absurd sense, are you calling me absurd? Life is absurd, this very conversation is absurd which raises the question: why am I bothering to write this?

Oh right, because I like the absurd. 8O

A little nonsense now and then is cherished by the wisest men.

Hey guys? Remember the racist toddlers?
Hey buddy, you should be a Russian Cosmonaut, and here's why.

The operative word here is absurd Nonsense, over-analyzing natural sensory reactions and being thick.

You know being the only person in the room with a operative sense of humor is hard. When a surgeon with an operating sense of humor walks into the room just tell me. We'll take a scalpel and be a pair of cut-ups.

Oh hooray for Captain Spaulding the African explorer…

Oooooor, we could discuss the topic of the thread.

I know it sounds wacky and outlandish, but just give it a go, you might like it.

What if the kid turns his nose up to fish and chips? Is he anti-British?
Yes.

Although it's pretty theoretical. How could anyone in their right mind not like fish and chips?!

What I was saying, in a kind way, was that it wasn't actually funny. ;)

Not to say you can't be funny otherwise, it's just that bit didn't work that way. :)

The only time I dislike fish and chips is about 10 minutes after I've just finished eating them. They have that affect on people. -_-
