I'm new to DD and don't know much, but how do you get into the top 1000?

It's not too hard. Update regularly, make even a halfway good piece, and give it some time if its not a big hit to start. The page hits will soon get you there.

Yeah, I know. At first my comic pages were to big so I changed the size (needless to say the quality of the comic took a hit). Oh yeah, I checked my status and it says I'm 2,193.

I've found that frequent updates really help in getting your rank up (down). I think seeing the same thumbnail several days in a row makes people more likely to read the comic for some reason.

Product PlacementI agree it is sad. I worked very hard((not artisiticly)) to get my sad excuse for a comic “No Talent” to get the top 100 trophie only to be told I couldn't get it T.T

On another thread it was revealed that the rank is determined by how many different people viewed your comic in the last three days. So it would seem that if you update every day, then that should give you your best ranking. And if you stop updating, then your comic should fall in rank.

As mentioned above i don't think it's to hard, but i do think it has a bit of ‘luck’ to it, for example about a week ago i had added my 10th page to my strip & found myself at (about) 1003 Overall, but then checked back to upload again about 2 days later & found that i was bumped back quite drastically to #1,457 Overall, i have no idea why/how but hey it's no big worry… 8D

It's a Trophy you get for your comic reaching the top 1000, you can check your place in the “stats” menu of your comic.

If you see other people with it I sti;; don't know why or how but usually they have been here for a while and are at an extremely high ranking or Admins. Usually the admins and Mods get all the trophies for free-dirty cheaters -_-… just kidding. :)

Yeah, some of them never worked right in the first place. From what we can figure out, it seems random as to who will or won't get their rightful “top” trophies. I think it's just the case that more prominent people are noticed more often when it comes to things like that.

That would depend on how many comics are ON DD.
I do understand that there are over 10,000 comics on this site.
If that's true than being in the top 1000 is proportionately being in the top 10%!
