Hey look, people are talking about me. Haha. Yep, Bulletproof hasn't been featured yet, but it's ranking pretty highly in the superhero category.

Anyway, in order to add a little something to this thread, I'm gonna go ahead and agree that Engine is my favorite new comic around here - I'm not sure if it qualifies for a feature just yet because the archive isn't large yet, but it's definitely worth checking out if you like, y'know, good comics. And ttyler is blowing through his buffer at raging speed, too.

Thanks for finally confirming what I had thought about you not being featured.
That should be changed asap!

I don't know if this one has been mentioned yet but is quite beautiful!
DARK RISING
Its a sci fi horror book. The art is superb and has a creepy feel to it as you feel the loneliness of space and the presence of a race of aliens which mean destruction to the human race.
Definitely needs to be checked out.

Also, there is this strip that has a huge archive because the artist is an update maniac. The strip is insane. The art is fantastic. The humor is sublime and surreal. I highly recommend it because it isn't your run of the mill strip.
Check out Roy Barley and see what you think. It definitely grew on me. also I don't know if it has been mentioned before as well…

Al Schroeder of MINDMISTRESS http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com—think the superhero genre is mined out?

Think there are no new superhero ideas?

Think again.

new comic to The Duck which I think deserves some attention is GUTS. Its a black and white comic and as the creator dark10 describes its zombies meets Scanners. Which sounds like a cool concept. The art is phenomenal and has about 15 pages thus far. Worth checking out!

Hahahaha, silly kids. You're all wrong. The comic we should all really be looking at is THIS! http://www.drunkduck.com/The_Chronicles_Of_Wyrden

The art is so awesome that when I first saw it, my head caved in and all of my organs flooded out of my anus. In a good way. Some how.

It's not just the art though, dammit! The storyline is compelling, intriguing, intricate and perhaps even a little bit of a turn on.

Doctor Shadow and Reva have combined their awesome to make an awesome that is so awesome that it's like a black hole of awesome - Nothing can escape it's gravitational awesome pull, not even light itself.

Now READ IT!

I think GUTS is worth it, I loved the art style, very Toxic Comics (Accident Man, Marshall Law etc) It also reminds me of some early 2000AD as well.

Er, thanks Muntron, that's a very lyrical and disturbing compliment, but hey…a compliment is a compliment!

It's funny a lot of good comics on here got featured after you guys talked about them, ahah.

All the comics I was HxC for already got featured, besides like two:

http://www.drunkduck.com/Opaque_Dreams/

It's a cute little comic I stumbled upont hat has great sotry telling and such simple but effective art! ‘3’ I LOVE IT! *Midge reads it too, I'm sure he knows what I mean!*

ALSO, THE MOST UNDERRATED COMIC EVER EVER EVER FOR PEOPLE WHO THINK YAOI AND ANIME IS FUNNY: http://www.drunkduck.com/Yamete_Kudasai/

SRSLY YAMETE KUDASAI YOU GUYS, GENUIS. The begining the art is kinda like meh, but a lot of good comics are like that. After a while, the lawlws just start pouring out.

GOD I LOVE IT.

(Can't believe I kept forgeting to put that nom. up…)

I forgot about the awesomeness of this thread!

Ditto to Katch's recommendation. Death Brigrade is a fun manga.

Well, to contribute, I want to mention Eliada, because it has returned after a very long hiatus, and I think it should be read! It's a beautiful water color and pencil action, fantasy, philosophical magical tale. It's akin to Lord of the Rings at times. Anyway, I hope I'm not overstepping the bounds of “unnoticed” comics.

I know a comic that doesn't get anywhere near the readers it deserves. Akashik It's a lovely space adventure drawn by Spearcarrier please check it out. Well really I'm fond of all my “recommended” comics but it's that one and Crickets Creature that I would like to see get more traffic.

I'd say that person is definitely quite skilled, possibly more than quite. Then again, I don't do art :)

I loved Manifestations, highly recommended and very solid art with some really good angles.

Lucky Dawg

Here's one to watch; it just started. Pro quality superhero werewolf story. Author intended for this to be his break into print comics. Let's hope he succeeds eventually. The art style isn't the usual superhero comics type. Quite refreshing.

Lucky Dawg looks good but I think only with 2 pages posted it might have been too early to consider it unnoticed, IMO of course.

What would you say the criteria would need to be?

previously in the thread we had discussed this a bit. I think a comic which has a strong archive…15 plus and updates regularly and in my opinion has few to no comments seems to be a comic which appears unnoticed.

Well, I wouldn't say a comic is “unnoticed” if people haven't really had a chance to notice it… I thought the idea here was that some comics have been around for a while and don't seem to get the recognition some of us think they deserve. Lucky Dawg may well take off soon, given its obvious qualities.

Okay then, this one. Serious-tone D&D-type comic. Has it been mentioned yet?

1. Professional (literally) artwork and colors.
2. Good sized archive.
3. Been here since last year. Doesn't have the number of commenting readers proportionate with its quality.

Maybe all its readers just go to its parent site, since this is a mirror. Personally I have nothing against mirrors, though.
