i have a few comics that are not sexual, but one contains graphic and gross out comedy. a few others depict rednecks in their traditional robes drinking beer. just wanted to know if there was rules against this or a special place to post these?

You can post any comics you like (if it's legal). Just make sure you select the rating (E, T, M, A) that applies, so the people looking for such content can find it – and those who aren't can avoid it.

If you have a mixture “clean” and “risque” stuff, you might want to have two separate comics, as they apply/interest different audiences.

You don't have to worry. If you mark your comic ‘Adult’, DD will make you confirm that you really want to see adult stuff before you see the comic. If you click the link to my comic and you've never viewed adult comics before, you should see the warning page from DD. I don't think you will be able to see them at all if you've registered with an age under 18.

There are people who would click on it and ignore that without a second thought. I would suggest a disclaimer on the front page in big letters, forcing the reader to scroll down to read the comic. The person who is “offended” by the comic can't deny having seen the disclaimer (thus being warned about the content before he sees it) and can't claim that he “didn't know” about it… unless he claims to be illiterate. But if he's illiterate he can't be using a computer, right?

i use the homepage as a warning page, just because you're over 18 and already logged in doesn't meen you wanna see a ton of sex rite away . maybe you're at work or you're some religionist who hates the human body and its functions, or maybe you're just a pansy … who knows , but it is my belief that you should be fairly warned before the Pron Train rolls into town

It's pretty much answered here along with (in my opinion) an rather entertaining argument that led to the thread getting locked. Let's try not to have that happen again.

There's no need for 2 adult warnings. If someone doesn't understand what ‘adult’ means, they're probably too stupid to use a computer anyway :-) A hundred ‘adult’ warnings wouldn't help them. There's no reason to put your readers through a click and click game… the comic is written for those who appreciate it, not for the mentally challenged.

Disclaimers aren't required, but good for that extra insurance when the offended says “I got no warning!”. For me anyway it's too easy to see the popup then click it without reading it. There's almost no way you're gonna dodge a disclaimer on the screen when it's the very first thing you see. You could scroll down without reading it if you look away from the screen, but I'm sure that requires some concious effort. People doing so and then complaining that the content under the disclaimer was offensive would reveal that they're fully aware of the content and that they're just trolling anyway. :)

i dunno if its adblocker or what , but i dont get a “pop up ” warning .
the way i look at comics on DD is to open about 20 tabs at once and let them load . then click through them . i prolly wouldn't notice a pop up warning that way , but then again maybe i'm just menatlly challenged , after all my art hasn't improved in over three years

You can't read or make A rated comics if you're younger than 18.

If it's M they can but not if it's A.

You have to go change the rating in your advanced comic settings then reload it's thumbnail.

…So rather than you spending two minutes to find a thread that answers your question(and there are a ton), we should all spend our time answering the same questions every time someone joins DD and has a little trouble with something?

Not that I mind answering questions, but don't waste our time just because you're lazy.

Here is a thread that might help you. http://www.drunkduck.com/community/view_topic.php?tid=26589&cid=229
