Rocks– Cream
Double Rocks– Queen
Guilty Pleasure– Journey

I also like bands like Ludo, The Coup, RATM, and stuff that rocks in general. Check out Skanatra too.

I don't really do favorites but randoms from the playlist:

incredible moses leroy, deathcab for cutie, rilo kiley, weezer, travis, postal service, the ataris, air, stars, (holy shit my core media player just revived itself after refusing to open for the past month!!), portishead, mum, spoon, broken social scene, elliot smith, gorillaz, foo fighters, incubus…I'm rather excited that my media player came back to life so I'll just stop here.

I like lots of bands and styles…
But for now I'll only list bands I like in two styles (mostly): folky type music and prog rock:
Clanard, Gryphon, The John Renbourne Group, Ewan Mcall, Robin Williamson, Enya…
and
Slap Happy, Gentle Giant, East of Eden, Caravan, Soft Machine, Fuschia, Love…

hmm… ok, some other pop stuff that I love:
Rammstein, Led Zeppilin, Veruca Salt, Bjork…

The list of endless really, but really boring to read.

I tend to shift through favourites easily, but here goes. For this season, I tend to favour Nightwish, Enya, Pink Floyd, some Garbage, everything I can get from Bond, some Vanessa Mae…

And any singer that doesn't scream in the microphone as if someone forced them to sit naked on white spirit. Yeah.

I tend to go through musical phases (right now I'm into japanese music, but not long ago my soul only yearned for the slightly fuzzy recordings of songs from days long past, from musicals now dusty with age, from composers whose bodies have degenerated into skeletal entities. and before that I was into the Beatles.) But I'll try to sift through the myriad of favorites to come up with an “essentials” list.
DAVID BOWIE, the Beatles, Pink Floyd, the Smiths, the Velvet Underground, Belle & Sebastian, the Sex Pistols, Youna, Asian Kung Fu Generation, High and Mighty Color, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Mildred Bailey, Billie Holiday, Yves Montand, The Kinks, Deanna Durbin (<3), Simon and Garfunkel, Amaral (YAY SPAIN!) Oreja de Van Gogh, Guillemots, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, ELO…

But #1 is definitely Bowie. I use it as a gauge for judging people. Not that I'll dislike someone for not appreciating Bowie's genius, but I'll like someone more if they like david bowie. -_- I know, I'm terrible

Do you like your blue jeans blue?

Um… let's see… my top whatevers:

The Libertines- because of Karl and Pete.
Wolfmother- because the lead singer plays like Hendrix
The Gorillaz- because I love cool shoeshines, don't you?
Pure- because they have some crazy lyrics.
Queen- because of Freddie… also, almost none of their songs sound the same…ever.
Paul Oakenfold- because it's really relaxing.
Andrew W K- because! because!
Tenacious D- they rock my socks off.
Neutral Milk Hotel- Ian J introduced me to them, and I always listen to them while I write now. They're deep, which is way more than most bands can do.
Cake- I mean, come on, who doesn't like cake?
Nirvana- you need no reason to like Nirvana.
Captain Dangerous- I'm gonna buy a CD soon, I swear I will, just like I will with the CK5
others include Sublime, Reel Big Fish, Bloodhound Gang, The Ramones, ELO, Foo Fighters, Audioslave, Soundgarden(hey, you spilt your soundgarden in my audioslave)

my guilty pleasure: Tchaikovski… sometimes, other times its The Doors. Jim Morrison might not have been able to sing, but daaamn, he was a tool.

Tenacious D(Tribute is the best song in the world, they say it themselves)
System of a Down(Stadium Arcadium is an awesome album)

Tribute is just a tribute to the greatest song in the world, the song that was the first thing that came to their heads and it just turned out to be the GREATEST SONG IN THE WORLD

Stadium Arcadium's a Chilli Pepper album you ‘tard

SOAD did toxicity, mesmerize/hypnotize and some other stuff. I’m not even that big a fan of either band and I know that.
