http://www.scifi.com/superhero/video/

I've just watched the first two episodes of this show and I must say, I'm really liking it. It's just a fun series.

What does anyone else thing about it?

And do you have your hopes for any of the participants Or a particular hero that you liked?

Personally my favorite is Major Victory.

What does anyone else think?

Tater Salad
I haven't seen it but I'm voting for Fat Momma cause that's the best fucking superhero name ever.

Major Victory, I favor him. He puts me in the mind of the Tick.

I'm a big fan of the show. I wish I could participate in something like that. It really would be a dream come true, no matter how contrived it may seem. Like tonights episode….oh man, it was so obvious but still exciting to watch.

I'm a fan of Lemuria, cause she's pretty, and Tyveculus, since his background story seems the most promising for a real comic book.

I like “Feedback”. His “powers” are interesting and his costume kicks ass.

This is actually a pretty interesting show, I must say. I can't believe how many of them ran by the crying girl!

Hguyver, I added a link to the show on your post for people that haven't seen it.

I think Major Victory will win this. He hasn't done anything wrong yet, plus he doesn't seem to take the competition all that seriously.

Major victory will probably win because he is the most marketable as a superhero, Fat momma however is awsome, she has the ability to improve peoples self esteem.
Of course you will. All intelligent beings dream. Nobody knows why.

Also, tell random people they are awsome! it helps!

Major Victory is a good superhero in a 1960's TV batman sort of way.

personally, Monkey Woman impressed me the most so far.. I mean, she was litterally mauled by dogs for over 5 mintues and she still didn't give up.

and Major Victory is pretty good too, in that cheesy but fun way. and I sorta admire him for having the balls to admit that he was once a male stripper… not many would own up to an past that they were embrassed or ashamed about. although, I can't ever picture him as an male stripper… he looks like he used to be a mailman or something. lol
I'm on hitatus while I redo one of my webcomics. Be sure to check it out when I'n done! :)

You'd think they'd check to make sure there already wasn't a character in comics named Major Victory, which there is in DC Comics. His brother Major Asshole had a bit part in Spaceballs though.

Right, so because Sci-fi wont let me watch full epidsodes from “my area” I watched some clips, The challenge with the getting changed race sort of annoyed me, getting extra points for helping a small lost child is stupid, what if you are racing to save the city from a nuclear missile? That little girl is hardly a priority in super hero esq circumstances.

Plus children who havent been taught to seek out police or security authorites when they are lost deserve to be kidnapped by paedophiles. particually when it is clearly signposted nearby. plus shouldn't children flee from oddly dressed strangers?
Of course you will. All intelligent beings dream. Nobody knows why.

If you take it seriously, of course it's stupid. ALL “reality” shows are. No suprise there.

But if you take it for what it is supposed to be, it's entertaining.

When people start dressing in spandex and capes, it really should tip you off not to take it too seriously.

Besides, this is Stan Lee's perspective of a comic book universe. Real world rules sometimes do not apply.

I was talking In a comic sense, there are hardly any comic characters that would actually stop to save a lost child any more, they might agonise about it later if they hear that said child died as a direct result of their inaction, but I doubt many would bother. plus that is such an old sort of thing for superheros to be doing, I thought they were all about battling giant soviet monsters and aliens now?
Of course you will. All intelligent beings dream. Nobody knows why.

They need to do “Who Wants To Be A Supervillain?” That show would be way easier for most people to qualify for.

BTW, two comics you might wanna look for is “I Was A Superhero Survivor” and “So, You Want To Be A Super-Villain?” from Epoch Comics. See http://www.epochkblamm.net/epochstore.asp

The guy with a gun on his arm is a tool.

“Iron Enforcer”, yeah. You saw what they did to him, right? That was pretty clever. Predicatable, but clever!

This show is my new favorite thing ever. I love how Stan Lee is on every TV in the entire world on this show. His outside TV is embedded in an advertisment for bgi screen TVs.

When the Iron Enforcer walked by a pile of trash and a TV turned on in it and Stan was on it I almost fell over.

This is the first reality show ever that I've wanted more seasons of.

Watched the season finale, and I gotta say that Stan Lee chose the right guy. Fat Momma had too many ties with reality– she was a hero already with taking care of her kids and family. On the other hand, I can't even picture what would happen to Feedback if he hadn't won. (“Nervous breakdown” wouldn't even begin to describe it.)

Still, everybody got what they wanted in the end, right? Feedback reached absolute geek nirvana. Fat Momma rallied people to her cause and, I think, discovered a lot about who she really was. Stan Lee got to get out from behind that desk. And us true believers were all treated to a wonderful, if however fleeting, suspension of disbelief.

~IJ

PS: Of course you know there's going to have to be a Season Two.

PPS: I don't know if anybody else got this, but after a while, to me, Feedback looked a lot like Jim Carrey's character Lloyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber after a while. Especially when he had that slackjawed smile on his face. And Stan Lee started to look and sound like Larry King.

GO FAT MOMMA! GO!

also, when the interview for Iron Enforcer started, and he twitched his pecs the first time, it caught me so off guard I fell out of my chair laughing.
<= dead and buried.

Yeah, it was a great ending. Really happy and fun! Now I kinda want to see the comics that they made from it….and the movie…and of course, there better be a next season someday.
