Yeah I heard about all the legal shit on G4 earlier this week. It really pissed me off. As soon as you think you're going to see the movie adaption of the best comic ever, it ends up caught in a lawsuit.

Watchmen the comic is severely overrated. I can count the comics on DD that out-preform it on one hand. The movie, however, looks amazing. I will pay out the ass to see it.

So is that supposed to be ironic or are you unintentionally contradicting yourself?

This is why we are at war with FOX. is it not bad enough that they plan on infecting the world with a VARY crappy live action rendition of DragonBall? (With a white Boy as Goku?wtfomggtfo) now to do this… some one needs to pull Fox's head out of its ass… and that someone is US. now wheres that RailGun??

Hollywood must be exterminated.

I'm not sure what you mean because I cant even tell what my post meant. I guess thats what I get for drunk-posting. On Drunk Duck of all things.

I was TRYING to say that the comic is horrible. It's bland, and is just a bunch of people brooding for a few hundred pages. If it were The Comedian: The Comic I would have loved it, but all it really was is just a bunch of naked blue men feeling sorry for themselves.

The movie, however, seems to do the story more justice. Once in motion, with more color, i dunno it just seems like a much more vivid retelling. It's shorter too, so hopefully they'll focus a bit more on action and let cry-babby butfuckery.

Also if I was condradicting myself because “the movie will be just like the comic!” then you're pretty off base. Farewell Giant Vagina Squid, we knew thee well.

I don't know, lefarce, I think you really missed the point of the comic.

LeFarce can't maintain an erection unless there are ninjas and explosions on every page.
Hey buddy, you should be a Russian Cosmonaut, and here's why.

The point was that it was a deconstruction of the superhero genre, and a pollitcal statement about war or some hippie bullshit. All I know is I didnt enjoy reading it.

Also pretty much what custard said. If there isnt rockets and children is awesome psychic powers just blowing up cities for no good reason (and cyborg ninjas) it's just not worth the paper it's printed on.

Not liking it is one thing, I can understand that. But saying it is horrible? Really? What bothers me about the movie is that Zack Synder seems to be adding stuff in, like Comedian killing JFK.

The Comedian/JFK assassination connection was hinted at in the comic, it just wasn't a major element, at least not as much as the Comedian/Woodward and Bernstein killings.

Looks to be a great adaptation. Watching the first trailer and seeing some of the scenes in live action motion was pleasantly surprising.
