I got it from a random name generator. Put in a whole bunch of stuff you like or are associated with and then picked it out of a list and now I like to Use it for anything online.

It sounded literary and mysterious to me but I think it might actually be the name of some kind of social program. Also I just dig alliteration, I guess.

Old school AOL had a ten character limit on screen names. I wanted to use “Doppelganger” as my screen name, but I couldn't come up with very many variations that didn't include either ‘dope’ or ‘gang’. So I bastardized it into “Doplegager”.

I've since discovered that I can sign on to any forum without fear of anyone else already having my screen name, so it's stuck. Most people who originally met me online refer to me as “Dop”.

Edit: I always feel awkward around people who speak German; I've taken enough German classes that I can navigate my way through most simple German texts, but my screen name really underplays that particular skill…

Prototaph is the title of a 1960s short story (very short) and I thought it was very philosophically apt and well written. Plus, the name has some sort of punch to it. I like saying it in a variety of voices cause it sounds great. You can read the story online. It's usually the first link when you google ‘Prototaph’. That's all.

Well, my user name was my own idea because I happen to be somewhat of a computer nerd and i happen to like reptiles, especially snakes. So I came up with the name Snakebyte (Get it? Snakebite? Snakebyte? Bytes like in computers? Hmmm…Tough crowd)

It's my pen name which I came up with when I tried to write a novel few years ago. See, I live in a religious country and it wouldn't be very wise to release anything under my real name if it would deal with christianity in erm… let's say totally unorthodox way… The novel became more of a novella (and is being slowly reworked into a graphic novel script) and the name stuck.

I was basically trying to come up with something that works as a single nickname, but also as first/last name.

The name of our group is RAVA, and we make comics. It seemed the thing to do.

“Kalos” is like an abbreviated version of my last name (which I won't say here ‘cause Lord knows someone will stalk me/ban me from the forums). Anyway, it’s what I think I may change my last name to if I ever actually get around to doing that. I'm of Greek heritage, so my last name has, like, a trillion letters and is too hard to pronounce. Everyone calls me Kalos offline as well.

I chose my name because when I was younger me and my friends had a colour to our attitude. I was blue because I acted blue( meaning i was smooth, calm charming and i like club music or music like modern blues examples:snoop dogg and t-pain,bartender and drop it like its hot.).

I use this username for 8 years already. It started with a small online game I came across with. After playing a game about the greek mythology for months already, I just took a name from that one. However, because I rarely read the names well, back then I wrote Hefaistus. And well, it kinda stuck.

I'm a big fan of stopmotion animation. In King Kong (the original 1933 version) all the special effects were stopmotion and the main animator dude was (the great) Willis O'Brian. Hence Willis O' Kong, and in computer land this is willisokong.

Pretty simple really…I work on my comic with a friend of mine, and this is the shared account, so we chose something we both love - bacon - and became the Baconators (the “s” obviously because we're two people).

In my opinion, humorman's name is the most creative. ^_^

So I'm either that or far-from-earth/farfromearth, which has more to do with being a space cadet than any obscene skills of lack thereof.
