I don't really watch that many cartoons anymore. But I do love family guy, Simpsons and of course South Park. Other than that I don't watch cartoons.

A lot of long-running cartoon shows I used to like (Family Guy, South Park) seem to be getting worse in their waning years. I wish they would just stop. It'd be totally fine if they did.

Same for Spongebob. I don't know why I like that cartoon so much, but it's been pretty hit-and-miss since the movie. (I'd be sad if it ended, though.)

I haven't watched Flapjack yet, but Chowder's the kind of thing kids need these days (see: GOOD cartoons).

Of the modern stuff I rather like Total Drama Island and to a lesser extent Spongebob and Sixteens. Oh and sometimes I can make myself watch Chowder.

Chowder,The Amazing Misadventures of FlapJack
Sorry, but *gag*. I can't stand those cartoons. I know a lot of kids seem to love them, but they're bloody obnoxious. The same goes for most of what's on Cartoon Network and Adult Swim these days.

I am or have been a big fan of Speed Racer, Looney Tunes, Ren and Stimpy ( First season and the lost adult episodes. After that it just got gross. ), Rocko's Modern Life, The Rug Rats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ( I was a hardcore 5 year-old fan. I had the bedsheets to prove it. ), Avatar, Rurouni Kenshin, Reboot, Tom & Jerry, and various animated shorts.

And just as a teaser, I'll toss out this one.

Death Art. It's not quite as morbid as it sounds, I promise.

Rocko's Modern Life, The Rug Rats, Reboot…
Those were all good :)

There's been a lot of great animation over the years, too much to list. The only constants is that: If it goes on too long, no matter how good it was to start with, it will turn crappy in the end.

Clearly, you've never really looked at Chowder. Like, I mean, really looked at it.

Hell fucking yes.

Also, Freakazoid, Earthworm Jim, Project GKR, Popetown, the Tick, and Biker Mice from Mars, although I rarely admit to that last one.

There aren't many current ones that I watch, as they are. . . I won't say crap, but recently cartoons are aimed only at children, whereas before they at least made the effort to be entertaining to other age groups (like that time Henry Kissinger appeared in a Freakazoid episode or Earthworm Jims slightly more subtle than usual gags about the American government).
Hey buddy, you should be a Russian Cosmonaut, and here's why.

Clearly, you've never really looked at Chowder. Like, I mean, really looked at it.

I've sat through plenty of episodes that the people in my buildings commons are always watching and I just couldn't appreciate the shrill voices, funky textures and lame duck humor. There just wasn't anything remarkable about it. Even cartoons like Spongebob or Angry Beavers have some level of inane silliness or grossness that makes them distinguishable.

Freakazoid was cool, but was also a blatant ripoff of Allred's Madman!! I forgot that there was even an Earthworm Jim cartoon but now that I think of it that was a good one too. I hated Animaniacs and Invader Zim…I thought the later got way to popular. I used to really like Duckman, I don't know whatever happened to that show…

Bullshit. Utter, utter bullshit. I'm a fan of both and I can't any similarities at all, besides that they have similar. . . ok, virtually identical costumes. After that there's nothing that ties the two together.
