I'm getting an odd bug myself. Whenever I click on the link to my comic (whether on the site or from my bookmark), I get directed to my first page instead of my most current page. Any ideas what's going on there?
Do you have Homepage enabled in your Overview settings? That seems like a likely culprit.

I'm not sure how it is working (or rather, malfunctioning) at the moment. It says my comic updated July 26th, which it did. But it also updated today, and that has not registered.
And now it says I updated July 29th. I did not.

I noticed today that the site allows me to see pornographic comic thumbnails when I'm not logged in (and therefore not age-verified). Is this an issue of making the site only show thumbnails for adult comics to logged-in and age-appropriate people? Or is it more an issue of asking comic creators to not have pornographic comic thumbnails?

Yup the 502's are starting to make more frequent appearances again. This time for me it's when I went to take a look at my sent PQ's. Even refreshing the url gives me the same mesage. (usually that fixes the error).
There was something else I was going to mention, but i forget what it was…*Shrugs*

Really? It should be showing you a default thumbnail with a red “A” on it (I call them Scarlet Letter Thumbnails). I've just checked that now in firefox and it does that for me. So you're saying that when you're logged out you can see all these thumbnails: http://www.drunkduck.com/search/?search=
Maybe it's a caching issue? What happens if you clear your cache and check again?

Is there a way to change profile signatures? So far I haven't been able to find a means that I know of.

I kinda wanna drop mine now, lol. Or at least fix it up a bit. Mine looks a little weird; two avvies I made, but two extra blocks near it for some reason.

I know this one :-)

Go to your User Control Panel, and immediately below that heading, select the “forum” tab.

for what ever reason, signature was renamed

Little late in reporting a problem but I'm still unable to upload my page in my two browsers: Firefox 3.6.19 and Safari 5.0.5. My operating system is Mac os X 10.5.8.
I've heard the Google Chrome has not been giving issues but sadly my system will not support the browser.
I'm sorry if this has been bought up before or if I'm posting in the incorrect area.

Have you updated the Firefox browser to the latest? (Uh I don't know if MAC's follow a different browser number than PC's) I'm running FF 5.0.1 and the issues you're having I'm not. It might be that the FF browser is just not up to snuff supporting the new design?

Strangely enough, NOW it's doing just like it should, showing the generic A thumbnail. Yesterday I clicked “comics” where it allows you to browse, and I noticed the Busty Solar thumbnail. But now even that shows up as the “A” thumbnail. Oh well, I guess that's fixed.

I don't know if anyone mentioned it before, at least I haven't seen anyone doing so, but I'd like to point out a problem with the comic URLs:
They only work properly if they end with a slash as in:
http://www.drunkduck.com/Master_the_Tiger/
(in opposite to: http://www.drunkduck.com/Master_the_Tiger )
On first sight this doesn't seem very important, but if you have a short url that links to your comic, as I have, this can be a really annoying problem, because my domain service seems to ignore this last / so that the link redirects to something like http://www.drunkduck.com/comics/M/Master_the_Tiger/ which is a blank version of the main page offering no clue whatsoever how to get to the actual comic.
I'd really appreciate if something could be done about it soon. I spent hours to find all the places where I linked my comic to add that bloody /, and I'm fairly sure it lost me readers.

two things that you might not have caught yet: first, those links to fixed problems seem to be trunciated and malfuctioning so i dunno if you caught the second thing, which is that apparantly everyone that ever sent me a friend request was added to my friendslist in the change, regardless of if i wanted them there. i'll reserve my oteher complaints for when those links are fixed.

Sorry, that truncating thing is because the forums text editor tries to turn them into relative links and messes up. I'll fix that today. They just link to newsposts- if you click on the “news” link in the green topbar, you'll be able to scroll down a bit and see them listed in there.

The friend request thing is intentional, it works on a mutual facebook type system now rather than the more selective twitter type. Having people on the friends list doesn't really “do” anything, but I warned them it will be a problem if they ever decide to make Friends have a function, like letting you do privacy things or auto-subscriptions to their projects or whatever. I know some people did use their friends lists as shortcuts. (And I'm not fully comfortable with having 400 ‘friends’ myself.)

I'll work on updating that first post today now that more stuff is being reported. :]

Yeah, now it all makes sense.
I think that guy wanted a load of money for the URL. I can't believe people still do domain squatting. It seems so… 1995. There should be a rule about that kind of thing *shakes fist*

Just to rule some stuff out:
- they're jpg, jpeg, gif, or png right?
- less than 2mb?

Otherwise, you can add me as an assistant, send me the files, and I can try and upload them? That might help determine whether it's a problem with the account, the files, or something to do with the coding…

That's odd, because the site should be putting that slash in automatically. I just tried it by copy-pasting your slash-less link and it worked. It's not doing that for you? what browser?

when we gonna fix the stupid go to post errors.
it happens when there's only a couple posts left on the page. the error is it sends you to the page that hasn't been made yet.
EX: 27 posts on page seven. It sends you to page eight. There is no page eight = ERROR

And when we bringing back the go to posts on the caterergories section. >:(

Among everything, that's annoying me the most. (although…there's a bunch of other forum related stuff, but anyhow…)

The bug where if you've queued up a page in advance and when it finally goes live, it doesn't update your latest post date, should be fixed now.

A very unhappy relic of the old site…

It would appear that updating does not necessarily put one's comic in the latest updates section. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I really, REALLY thought this would have been no longer an issue on the new site.

I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I didn't see the problem I'm having in the master list of bugs.

Not sure if the following information is useful, but, just in case, the comic I've noticed this problem with is a comic that was created after the site went through its recent conversion.

The problem: I set a ton of pages to auto update and they all went live immediately. I then deleted said pages and have been manually updating my pages since then. However, my total page count is increasing at a faster rate than my updating and my comic is showing up as updated, even when it is not (I don't know if my comic is going up on the list of Latest Updates when a false update is generated or if just the date and page count are increased).

I only noticed this problem today, when I logged on and noticed the update day for my comic was Aug 1 and that my page count had increased by 1 (the page count was at 40 last night). When I went to my comic's page, nothing was different and I have no extra pages. Currently, my actual page count is 37 but the system is saying 41 (though it might be 38 and 42, respectively, once this post is read, since I decided to report this bug before updating my comic). The reason I think that my comic is still auto-updating, even though the pages were deleted, is that my current number of pages + the number of auto updates that would have taken place had I not deleted them up to today = 41.

In short I'm reporting that my comic thinks it is auto updating even after I deleted the pages to be updated automatically and is counting those deleted auto updates towards my total page count and update days.

I think everyone who has been working to correct all the bugs has been doing a great job! Thank you for caring so much about the site by making sure everything runs smoothly!

OK, in the case of the first one, are you sure it released all your pages at once? The way they programmed the queueing feature is that the comic owners can see all the pages there like they updated, but if you log out those are all hidden. (Personally I think that's super confusing.)

As for the rest of it, I'm not completely sure I understand- so it sounds like the system is remembering the dates you said you wanted to update, and is going off of those, even though those pages aren't there any more? Or more simply that adding and deleting pages threw the page count off (bcause it didn't subtract that number)?

Oh, I'm not sure. I don't remember if I ever was logged out and looked at the site before deleting all of the pages; it was a little bit ago when I used the auto update feature. Also, I agree super confusing.

The first one. I had set the auto update schedule and after deleting the pages originally, the page count was what it should be. However, after each time the automatic update was to take place, the page count goes up. The page count also goes up when a page is actually added so now the page count = (# of actual pages online) + (# of auto updates that would have taken place had I not deleted the auto update pages).
Also, thank you for your quick response and sorry for any and all confusion my writing causes.

My comic is http://www.drunkduck.com/Sex_or_Something_Like_It/. I'm having trouble viewing some ofmy pages (from 7 to 36) as instead there appears that red x image. I've recently lost my library of files on my personal computer, and I would like to access the files in their original uploaded sizes to replace my lost archive. Can a moderator help me to access to view these files I uploaded? Thanks to anyone who can help.

These are both known problems and were warned of in advance of the move to the new site.

The stats are still in work (IE getting them up and running again). You will have to rebuild the look of your site using the “edit layout” function on the comic page itself.
