I like doing cameos of other comics, Drunkduck or otherwise. But there are a set of rules I follow.

1) Have respect for the characters you're cameoing in your comic.

2) Don't have them do anything extremely out of character (for example, Pinky TA getting naked and joining in an orgy)

3) Even if they do appear naked and have fun in their own webcomic, don't have them doing that stuff in YOUR comic without the author's permission. They're not your characters to do with as you please. (If you're wondering about the Sparrowbot in one of my comics, I did get permission… or rather… I was granted permission to draw her like that due to being in the Adult Wars).

4) All of the above apply even if you truly hate the character in question. I've seen artists who mutilate, brutalize, or otherwise being very evil to the characters from other comics that they hated. Quite sad…


So basically when I cameo a character in Pr0nCrest, I prefer not to get them involved in any kind of sex unless I have express permission from their creator.

hmm , i havn't done any cameos in my comics, yet ! yea i supose you would have to be a lot more thoughtfull about having chars apear in a porno comic as opposed to other genres ,

So long as somebody told me first, I wouldn't a few of my more “archetype” characters showing up in other comics. Like the ninja or tranny. The only ones that would make me mad would be Abortion Man or maybe big angry black guy. Those are my characters for my purposes, not some other guys. Its one thing to do a one time cameo, and its something entirely else to have one of my characters be a part of a story arc or a recurring character in something I had nothing to do.

I try to be nice to the characters in my cameos. I hope that I'm doing a good job. Still, it's good to have guidelines.

Hrmm… I hadn't really thought too much about cameos in my story, since it's mostly self-contained. But I'll have to give that some consideration.

In the meantime, if anyone is compelled to use Min or anyone else from the Xolta storyline, feel free to do so. I'd appreciate a heads-up so I'd know about it. Thanks!
