For anyone out there interested in some tasty reading, I just finished The Whisperer and Other Voices and Beneath the Moors and Darker Places by Brian Lumley. These two collections are companion volumes showcasing Lumley's short fiction, in particular his work with Lovecraft's (And August Derleth's, because credit should go where credit is due) Cthulhu Mythos. And while Whisperer is absolutely wonderful, including the novella “Return of the Deep Ones,” Beneath just knocks it out of the park.
Rock on, Mr. Lumley, rock on.
