We both thought it had potential. Salsa thinks it should be rewritten and planned out again and I feel if the author continues to improve as the case seems then she could put a hold on redoing the rest.

Destroy and start over?
You guys get harsher every week.

Perhaps the niceness early on was a fluck?

Oh and new name for your review comic-

THE ACID REFLUCK!

I didn't mean start over from scratch. I meant that if they started over with the idea and planned it out better it'd be much better. Right now it seems kinda disjointed to me. Keep the story, keep the characters, unless they don't fit, and just plan the first few story arcs. A lot of writers say that good characters can write themselves. Don't be afraid to give the characters some depth and let them write their own dialog, so to speak. I didn't mention this in the review but I would have liked to see Lurei, the android that likes interpretive dance, and the doctor play off each other more. This would have helped flesh them out and gotten the readers more interested in the story.

Well, we would have liked to touch more on the initial interactions with the characters, but we sort of had plans to do that once we got rolling into the current plotline. The problem is that this comic was actually a re-done version of a comic we did about three years ago, which was more of a loose stream of gags with an even thinner plot. Those were the days before we actually scripted, and up until a few pages ago, we were mainly going off of those old comics. In fact, when the humor changed, it was because we'd started to actually come up with new things for Lurei. I suppose we should have just trashed the original, but a sense of nostalgia made us stick with the short introduction storyline.

At any rate, I am in no way bitter about the review. You both made a lot of good points. My figure drawing definitely could use improvement (and if you'd followed me through my other comics, you would have seen that it has been improving bit-by-bit.) In fact, I am taking an art class soon to hopefully speed that up. As for the trippy colors, I think we'll be sticking with them…but again, thanks for taking the time to review Lurei.

I'm not bitter either!

I didn't realize it was so confusing for readers.

@The Comic Authors: To be fair I think I judge a bit more harshly than Hark an dKev do because I have read and taken classes on writing and art. (I'm taking Figure drawing this semester and I start tomorrow) I don't know if they have. I also have read this and that has probably colored my views some as well.

Basically, I can be a jerk, but I try not to be.

Salsa, did you just claim to give harsher reviews because you believe you are better educated than me and Kev?
