Kanata Ontario is a fictional town for the story Wireless. It is a small town located between Sault St. Marie and Ottawa. It is built by a large lake and the three main industries are Tech Inc, Logging, and tourism. During WWII the base was a prime location for a government black ops group called MAPLE. It was because of MAPLE's high tech research facility that Tech Inc decided to settle in Kanata Ontario and it has for years been the main reason Kanata has prospered.
Kanata consists of approx. 126 000 people and while they are not as quick to accept those who are different than Canadians further south, once you have their trust they are loyal till the end.
