Dimestore Productions, best known for the Small Press Idol
contests, has re-launched its News and Reviews magazine, Self Publisher! First
introduced in the days before the Internet, SP! Has had a number of
incarnations over the years. In this new and current one, the focus is going to
be simple: News from Publishers, Reviews of their work, and Articles about
different aspects of making comics. With an ongoing website format, print
issues of the magazine are not yet planned but will likely be done as special
editions, targeting free giveaway at specific events, and collecting the most
recent News and Reviews from the website.

While there are lots of places online to see comics
coverage, most of it focuses largely on the larger companies and the pro level
work. SP! Plans to very much stick to the level of the new and amateur creator,
and the hobbyist publishers. We are open now for submissions. You can find
