You're right, that's awful!

So why  does every other panther look like a typical chubby , flat faced Hanna Barbera feline except for the I.Feleng designed Pink Panther?  Hmmm.  Design continuity?

Give me the original Pink Panther cartoons with Anteater and Inspector Clouseau.  I mean an anteater that talks like Jackie Mason chasing an ant the sounds like Sammy Davis Jr.?

Blimey, that was terrible! I wish I was a fly on the wall of the design meeting for that show.

I remember watching several episdoes of that as a kid, and I didn't particularly like it.  I had forgotten how much they abused that classic Pink Panther song.
Back then they did a lot of that “- and sons” crap to classic cartoons…  I guess they were in the middle of figuring out how to make old favorites relevant again.  I remember there being a Popeye And Son, Fintstone Kids, and A Pup Named Scooby Doo.  Most of them were pretty bad, but as a child I enjoyed A Pup Named Scooby Doo.

I did too, but you gotta admit, that theme song along with the one from Duck Tales is complete ear cancer. You will get brain worms listening to it.

Muppet Babies was one fantastic anomaly of a cartoon.  I loved it too.
