I've been feeling pretty good the last couple of weeks. :] Some good stuff has been going on for me! I'm even mostly motivated about work right now, haha.

Normally I kind of ‘crash’ in January and February, unless there's something external keeping me super-occupied. But the start of the year usually I'm really tired, missing nicer weather, unmotivated, etc. It's probably that seasonal thing. But this year since I knew it was coming I decided to just keep myself as occupied as possible, push through unmotivation and add things into my routine. It seems to have worked! I've gotten a heck of a lot more art done than usual, a couple of little projects, gotten through some books, work is picking up, I've been out more, and so on. I hope it carries on. :] (Anyway that kind of explains why I haven't been posting so much here- but I'm still lurking!)

Skool is rediscovering her comic creating genius! ^_^

Drama at the office here :(
Someone gots a nasty email from Mr passive aggressive boss and got very, very angry… told everyone to just F-off. Then stormed off. Weird energy in the office now. Nasty vibes.

Awkwarrrrrrrrrrrrrd. :/

I put my headphones on and will ignore it as best I can.
I'd feel better if I had some work to throw myself into and hide in, but I finished it all already, as usual.
I have a drawing to colour, I'll do that instead.

I'm getting kind of lazy and not having to drive the wife around everyday I haven't been showering. The brother-in-law is coming by to help the wife with some stuff around the house and I have this feeling it'll just be stuff that will keep me awake long after I should go to bed for my overnight.

I discovered online gaming and spent a whole day playing DeadZed. Love that target rich enviornment that is the zombie apococlypse and you start out with a Springfield bolt action, which one of my favorite rifles.

I dug out an old project and can't seem to get my head around how I colored it. I finally figured out how on another story so do I go back and convert this to that style or complete it in the newer easier way? I'll figure something out.

I just relistened:

http://www.drunkduck.com/quackcast/episode-39-its-my-world-i-can-break-the-rules/

I learned SO MUCH MORE since then. I think it would be VERY interesting if there would be more quackcasts about building worlds. I think I want to hear Jillyfoo and Amelius discussing it together.

In other news:

Just recorded the supplement to Quackcast 65 with ozone…now, editing.

This Tuesday's episode will contain an epic performance of ozoneocean portraying skoolmunkee. Too funny!

Enjoying Resident Evil Revelations a bit too much. Too bad I don't know anyone I can go into Raid Mode with on the internet. Not that I'd want to… the nice weapons you get in Raid Mode can't be used in the main story mode. No zombies in here, but it's still creepy anyways… like that mansion in the first Resident Evil. Then again aren't luxury liners essentially mansions on the water?

. Her name is Rachael… I wouldn't want to meet her in any dark place…

I've almost finished blasting through the first 4 seasons of The Larry Sanders show. So great to see it again after all these years! And it's still as strong as ever. What a killer cast they had. Amazing!

It helps me draw :)

My list of books to read is getting far too long. I just need to zip through a couple of the quicker ones to make it less overwhelming, I think.

I watched the 1983 film “Spring Break” as I drew last night.
Wow… Even as a boobs
The plot was exactly the same plot as all of those films: Young men go on holiday to get away from parents and “get laid”. stay at cheap hotel, corrupt developer wants to close hotel to build a resort (or something), young men vow to help save the place. They DO save it and nerdy man finds his true love/lust partner, everyone parties.

The Rhino is BACK. And he will eat our children.

In other news, I'm getting tired of doing stuff. Those things are taking up my time and in doing so obviously leave me with a short supply of time… And then of course those people that I do the stuff with don't do the same amount of stuff in the same amount of time, so…

You know?

And then there's the parents. Oh god. They will not let me do the stuff in the place that I want to. Which makes me do stuff in places that I don't want to do them. It kind of messes up the things that don't need messing up and it unmesses everything that needs to be messed with. And of course there's the Rhino, but I don't need to explain that to you do I?

It seems it already has.

I've reached the danger point that if I don't build the next set and shoot more pictures I will probably loose all interest in finishing the current comic. I'm losing interest quickly and there doesn't appear to be anythinggrabbing and holding my interest let alone any readers. SSDD.

This sounds awesome and the part about the corrupt developer - who saw that coming?

The small business threatened by the corrupt developer?

Somebody needs the Hulk….or maybe the Littlest Hobo to step in and help!

That'll teach you not to go from Larry Sanders to bad 80's sex comedies.

What does Larry always say?

… and here i thought it was the rhino that eats people and the only way to escapes it was to fly across the ocean on a giant peach whilst learning about the true value of family and other various life lessons which allows you to defeat the rhino in a sky-joust

also sorry about hearing about not being able to do things where things would be best, and that ironscarf is unwell

He's back! Welcome back to this little slice of inanity WOWIO likes to call THE DUCK.
*Duck*
Yeah some of those quackers fly awfully low this time of year in the Western Hemisphere. But they make great soup.

So let's see on my computer the color looks all right, on another comic hosting site the color looks all right, but here it looks all bleached and over exposed. So do I adjust the color just for The Duck and have it be dark everywhere else or just go with the good old PS filter like last time. It fixed a myriad of ills with those Aryans and their masks will it fix robofemoids? Don't you believe it. And with all the zombie killing I'm doing via internet gaming any and all goals of finishing anything are receding into the distance.

Has anyone else noticed?

First, Kroatz says the rhino's back.

Then Ironscarf, evil twin brother of bravo, POSTS! Says he has -Dun dun DUN - a rhino virus. (sorry to read that, Ironscarf, lots of fluids - plus some non-brandy ones, too)

And then bravo posts and welcomes back his brother, and then comments about not seeing well.

I can only hope that means I will be soon be inheriting the major stockholding shares to a large chewing gum corporation. When I do, I will finance Drunk Duck's rcovery.

Thought I'd go and share one of my current favorite music tracks from a game I'm playing on my new Nintendo 3DS…

“Whoa! I'm in Space Cuba” by Jake Kaufman

Now if I can only get past level 10 of this thing… freakin' complicated platformer with a protagonist cybernetic female police officer named Patricia Wagon…

Thanks for the warm hellos everyone - Ozone, the weather has warmed up considerably, which no doubt explains why we are all under attack by mutant viruses. Funny really - we're all locked in a never ending battle with these terrible mutant parasites, but we don't give it much thought, cos they're so ickle. Now if they were the size of let's say, wombats…

I did some life drawing tonight! At a burlesque lifeclass called Dr sketchy. I think they have them in different places around the world? Anyway, it was pretty cool. Very tricky to get back into life drawing. I will try inks next time, pencil is just too limited and scratchy.

Bah - my army print underwear made scant impact - curses!

Ozone, why not try the dreaded charcoal, or even pastel? Great for quick broad gestures. Charcoal is great cos you get lost in the drawing and afterwards look like you've been working in a coal mine.

I did consider it… (good song BTW), but it's just sooooo messy for a venue like that… I didn't fancy exiting a club and catching the train home, getting black over everything, plus that's better for a bigger drawing book.
But who know? Ink might not fit the bill either! Going back to pencil after being digital for so long is like losing most of your senses :(
Idiotic I know, but it's just soooo limited compared to the freedom you have- your stylus is a whole art studio worth of tools in one device.

It's also entirely possible that I'm just retarded and never sent it. Actually, that seems most likely.

Went with my little sister to my old(and her new) middle school tonight for an open house thing. I got to talk to my old drama teacher, which I was happy about. But for whatever reason I can never seem to stop myself from trying to impress him. And then afterwards I feel silly and immodest for having bragged about myself.
He's always very matter-of-fact about everything. I was talking to him about my starting university, and he was the first person to ask me so far what my grades ended up being in high school. And when I tell him something he disapproves of, he says “Why?” (The university I'm going to, I never did any drama in high school, etc) I told him I got top mark in art all through high school and he said “You get top marks in everything.”
