Hello lovely Ducks.

We have a script and now we need to make a play and a comic from it so lets DO this! Yay!!

First, please read The Duck Always Trips Twice, our wonderful script.

To send in a voice try-out
Record the lines for the role/s youre trying out for, as indicated.




Then, email your audio file (preferably an mp3, but I can work with others) to drunkduck100@yahoo.com.

If you are sending more than one, let me know which one you Really Really want. AND
WITH your file/s, please send an image file of yourself (a picture, your avatar, whatever floats your boat. If I dont like it, Ill let you know) AND

let me know if youre just having fun sending in a recording (which is great) or if you PROMISE to send in a full role recording if you win the vote.
Winners will have from Sunday 15 April to Sunday 22 April to record the entire role and email it in. If you won't be able to do it in that time, then let me know. Please.

Important Dates:

DUE Sunday 25 March - All voice try-out recordings with image file and intentions are

Monday 26 March to Friday 6 April - Community voting for role winners

Saturday 14 April - Notifications to winners will be finished.


To volunteer to provide the artwork for one of the comic pages,

please just post in this thread which page you want. First come, first served.
NOTE: we might have to tweak some pages if dialogue doesnt start or end squarely on a page its not an exact science yet.

Please sign up for only one script page, but feel free to decide how many comic pages your one script page becomes. Due date for art: 15 April (that's more than a month away :)

Many of those voice auditions were great. The Duck Always Rotates Clockwise is coming to life!

I should think everyone expects NickyP to reprise his role as Max. Why try out for a role that someone else already has tied up?
Whereas everyone has a comic German accent lurking somewhere in their larynx.
More artists have to step up for the comic or I'm going to illustrate all the untaken pages with DOLLS! Bruhahahaha! Photos of action figures! And I'm not kidding because I have every intention of illustrating every unclaimed page!
But if no other artists come forth it'll be action figures.

I think I'd like to try my hand at doing page 3.

Still leaves plenty of pages for dolls! Don't let that happen to the comic version of this great community project!

You wouldn't say that if you'd ever tried to eat something I baked. Death would be preferable to any cake I'd make.

And as the captain of the Imperial Guard must trust my judgement when it comes to threats. I know many DDers who would rather slave over pages of art for long hours than be subjected to any comic illustrated with photos of dolls.

nice to see (and hear) so many voices already! Hopefully we'll get some more!!!

Is it just me, or is that kiwi site making all the sound clips sound.. hollow, or something? Like they're being spoken from tube. I know my recording didn't sound like that before, at least.
