Hmm, looks like Death P*rn got nominated for a few categories that it's at best only loosely elligible for.

I think it'd be appropriate to drop Death P*rn from these categories:

* Best Adventure Comic
* Best Horror Comic
* Best Romance in a Comic

I can see where people might have wanted to vote for Death P*rn in any of those categories, but it's really only weakly even a candidate. I'm on the fence about “Best Parody/Tribute,” but I think a lot of the animated extras were pretty good parodies, and it's a thin field, so I guess I'll stay put there?

Please drop Death P*rn from those three categories and replace it with either the next runner-up or a randomized selection from the vote pool. Thanks!

Also, with regards to any unfortunate judges who have to sift through my comic but are averse to adult content, you really shouldn't have too much of a problem with it. From July 2012 through its final page, Death P*rn totaled 54 pages, of which only eight have any kind of “adult content” on them (and with some of those, it's just like one panel). So you should be able to read the comic just fine so long as you skip these pages:

***Skip pages 337 through 340, pages 353, 354, 383, and 384

Also, don't scroll down into the author's notes, because there are raunchy animated skits that run down there. Of course I do have to warn you that, even though that'll keep you safe from seeing any sex, you'll still have to put up with a lot of foul language, violence, and just in general people behaving very badly.

For those unhappy souls who have to judge the whole comic… I feel sorry for you. But if you want to save some time, there is a Reader's Guide in the Links section for the comic. The reader's guide has a comprehensive list of all the characters, as well as a Full Plot Synopsis. I'd highly recommend you check out the Synopsis before diving into the comic itself. The synopsis gives you all of the important events of the comic, along with links to some of the more key moments in the plot, so you don't have to read the whole 400 pages of jumbled nonsense. If nothing else, it's a good guide for what you really do need to pay more attention to when you read the comic in full.

***LINK: Death P*rn Plot Synopsis subpage***

I should note however, that the Synopsis was put together for general readers, and not judges or squeamish readers who want to avoid offensive content. The Synopsis is NOT entirely safe-for-work (though mostly it is), and some of the links it gives you may take you to scenes of people being beheaded, impaled, or being subjected to gross misuse of power tools. Sorry, but this is Death P*rn after all!

Good luck, everybody!

Would it be possible to drop Battle of the Robofemoids from the Best Photo category?  The comic concluded back in January.  Is it even eligable? It should be against the rules somewhere for two comics by the same person to be nominated in the same category.

Since BOTR is a completed comic, it's still elligible even if it concluded back in January. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to have two comics running in the same category. They're both worthy candidates.

Competing against myself is disquieting.  I do not want to hog the category.  BOTR won last year and had its moment in the sun.

Thanks Cid. Replaced you with Crossoverkill in best Adventure. The other two categories did not have a ready backup.

:D It's an honor to be in the running for a couple of categories.
As I (and Graymuzzle, the writer of Tinas Story) am new to Drunk Duck, I have never been around for awards before. How does it all go down? Thanks!

Best way to learn about it is check the presentation comic at http://www.drunkduck.com/Drunk_Duck_Awards_2013/, or even better, check some of the previous Years' award presentations.

We're not sure what will happen yet. Me and Niccea are discussing the best course of action.

Wow, I'm surprised KUWT made all of the list! :3 I'm quite honored! Thanks, guys! This should be a lot of fun as it was lot of worthy effort earning those spots. :) My congratulations to everyone involved. :3
