It is late for the Fashions of Yore contest so I decided to make this its own thread. I feel a connection ot history and when anniversaries come up I feel some recognition should be made of what happened.

We live in history and that hisotry shapes every aspect of our lives and it pains me to see just how unaware of this most are. Anyway let's go back 200 years to the end of the Hundred Days Restoration of Napoleon I with a look at what people were wearing. Well mostly soldiers involved in the campaign. If anyone wants to add some more outfits feel free. These are all based on the “dolls” created for vinomas's great fashion show. Each is labeled with character and original artist. Many of the outfits are taken from the Blandford color Series Uniforms of Waterloo. A rally are book I am told that I happened to find some time ago at a model figure show.
First up in the queue is Napoleon. Kawaii's wonderful figure formed the basis for this one.

next up is of course Sir Arthur Wellesly viscount of Wellington (he didn't become Duke until after Waterloo)
This is Luccia's Android Elba as Wellington. (little irony that Elba was the island of Exile Napoleon escaped to begin his 100 Days)

Third is oxoneocean's pinky TA as a real life hussar in one of the more colorful uniforms. This is the French 1st hussars in 1815 with the shortened waist, trousers and big round shako of the late Napoleonic period. All in a beautiful light blue with red facings. This is one of the uniforms I've seen recreated by reinactors and it is striking.

Magnifficent! I love the detail on the uniforms, especially Pinky's, I know how complicated they can be to draw. Marvelous work there Bravo!

These are awesome Bravo - wonderfully done! And it shames those of us that sometimes do things with showing enough diligence to detail and authenticity *looks in mirror* :D
