Ever had one of those days when you feel like you can't get something working in your comic right? Albeit character design, proportions, or scenerey? Talk about it here.

Every single damn day. :(

When drawing I'm very good with the eraser. When doing the photographs of the figures every moment of every shoot is a constant battle against things that fall over. And one thing always has to take other stuff with it.

I don't really have days so much as certain scenes that I just can't get right. I'll keep moving things around, redrawing little bits, but somehow it never seems quite right. Probably the best thing to do in those situations is scrap the drawing and start from scratch, but I'm usually too lazy/unwilling to throw away a decent drawing.

I tend to obsess until I finally break into a “good enough” moment or a “the next page will be better.” Then I look at professional art in mainstream comics where the proportions or angles are seriously screwed up and I feel much better about myself.

I would have to say being lazy or falling asleep drawing. I get bored too easy if it's not action based.

Haha, I am having a “Good enough” moment today too..

Good point about bad proportions in pro work!
And a lot of the pro work that looks too photo realistic… really IS traced over photos. That's how they work these days. So there's nothing really to get down on yourself about your art. The only person you should really be competing against is yourself. :)
