Benedict Cumberbatch. I watching The Hollow Crown: Richard III and wanted to see more about him.

He's almost as good as Ian McKellen was.

Bendydick cuminmypants is weird…
I think of him as a male Angelina Jolee, in that people LOVEEEEEE him, but I can't really work out why.
Like her he has a strange head, like her he's a decent actor, a very good decent actor, but I wouldn't ever sing his praises too high, there are more notable people out there. And yet he is LOVEDDDDDDDD!
It's a phenomenon.

Like the way people still see Adam Sandeler movies when everyone supposedly hates them now.

There is some advanced psychology at work in the world that I don't have the intelligence to be able to understand

I couldn't stand him until I saw him nail Richard III. He really wowed the critics and audienceso as no one expected such a nuanced performance. Richard III is a great chance to chew scenery. Look at Pacino or Olivier. He didn't.

Sophie Okonedo is great too as Queen Margaret, the she-wolf of France. One reviewer said she steals every scene she is in.

Besides it proves that Shakespeare can outdo Game of Thrones at its own game.

And along the way I was googling the various episodes' cast lists to catch other familiar faces and to get a feel for how the plays were adopted for this production. I probably would have been looking up the Wars of the Roses if I had not finished devouring a dozen books on the subject. What can I say, for me it's family history.

snake ointment

I woke up and apparently had some kind of dream (this happens a lot, I remember i had a dream, but, often, not what it was) and this time all I remembered was snake ointment (not snake oil–I know what that is).

Yeah, so I looked it up but I still am clueless about what I was dreaming.

I Googled “Police Birds”
Looking for cartoon birds dressed as police.
Surprisingly there were zero results of sexy police women… Australian and British people have to up there game when posting pics online!
Either that or Google is just TOO censored these days.

Google is awful at picking up colloquial slang. I always end up with an urban dictionary entry. Really boring stuff to wade through posted by wiki types who don't know what they're talking about.

The urban dictionary entry for “tread head” is an example. You have to scroll through all kinds of gamer and poser junk before you get to the real definition; “Armored vehicle enthusiast” and the original definition of “tank crewman” is completely absent. (Going back to ww2)

the thing I actually went and googled which didn't work out the way I thought was “where there was still gas” our state is in a state of emergency, and we had some people trying to find a gas station with gas still. It didn't work. and I went to check the station near my house they were out of gas, but I went there to get red bull, chips and chicken sandwich.

at least my car has good gas mileage and enough gas to get me to work.

“Bird” is a sexist slang term for women in Australia and the UK. :)

Last thing I looked up was “Queen Elizabeth Battleship”, because that class of WW1 battleships are my faves.
SO pretty!

Look at those 3/4 shots from the front. Beautiful triangular composition! Industrial constructivist Gothic architecture at its finest!
