To avoid advocating illegal activity, I use make believe psychedelic drugs in the story. After all it is only illegal if it is a controlled substance. Can't be controlled if it is not real.

There is a retelling of the Adam and Eve story here. Not as the first man and women, but as the first foragers to go to agrarian. Some Ophite Gnostic philosophy in there as the serpent is a good guy.
